as an ex Muslim, I was hoping to find some sort of a critique and pathway to help Muslims reconceive Islam to make it more palatable and applicable to modern time. instead, it was long litany of anecdotes and stories from her travels or encounters in her job that did not help the cause or frame the problem in any way. I was specially disappointed in her propagating the same talking points of the Israeli propaganda about Muslims Palestinians Arabs who live in the occupied territories and in the greater Palestine. it was a one-sided view, without any nuance or critical evaluation of the situation. simple Google search would have saved her from repeating false talking points. the overall impression when I finish reading this book was that it is amateur'ish, and lacks sophistication and proper research.
