Great Book, HORRIBLE Editing

This was a really great book, with a lot of very fun and interesting tidbits, the only problem is I had to repeatedly go back because I could not tell where one tale stopped and another one started. There are absolutely no pauses between them. It's like a computer with the voice of a really good narrator read this thing... without any punctuation. The narrators voice was great... I have a feeling this was all an issue with post production editing. Give us at least 2 full seconds between the different facts!

So glad that Joe has taken the time to start this podcast... I have been following Joe Turner on LinkedIn for about 8 months now, and I constantly find myself saying... finally, someone gets me! This is exactly what this career field needs, someone to reach into the depths of despair that many of our colleagues are in and help them all see that they are not alone! Good luck, Joe! You keep producing them, I will continue to listen!

RC Bray... a God amongst men... Master narrator!

Part 1, very good, cohesive, enjoyable story, wanted more of it!

Part 2, WTF? It was as if George Lucas met Quentin Tarantino in the twilight zone... and both of them were on LSD. I just didnt get it... If it wasnt for RC Bray, I would have dumped this right were it belonged, in a dumpster fire...

Another awesome book in the Expeditionary Force Series! Some have complained about the side story taking place around the folks left behind on Paradise... I am enjoying every minute of it (just as long as you keep Nert in the story)!

While this is a departure from the merry band of pirates, it does a great job of answering the questions of what happened on Paradise between book 3 and book 4. What you will miss is the Bishop/Skippy banter, what you get in its place is Nert (which is every bit as entertaining)! RC Bray nailed this character so well that i cant wait to see if Craig Alanson continues this offshoot storyline. please please please Craig, give us more Nert!

really wish I could say otherwise, after all... The Martian is one of my absolute favorite books. In my opinion the main character was completely un-likeable, I found myself struggling to get through the story because I couldn't find it in me to emphasize with her in any way... but I could tell the the goal was for you to like her... just didn't work for me.

This book was a lot of fun, it has humor, action and enough geeky sci fi to make it cerebral. Starting the next book now!

A great book, really good story, not a fan of Jesse Bernstein though. His voices were not that great, especially when voicing the Gods, made them sound a little rediculous not majestic as they should have been.

Another great book in the series... exciting, suspenseful... you never know what happens yet, you just know that whatever happens... it's going to suck worse for the characters than the last 10 minutes. My one and only qualm with the book... I have to wait until the next one is released... grrr!

Let me start by saying that this is one of my favorite books of all time... and that Stephen Fry does a great job narrating it... my critique is on the production. First, there are 33 or 34 chapters in the Hitchhiker's Guide... Stephen Fry read each of the chapters... but the audible version is set at 5 chapters, if you set your sleep timer to the end of the chapter (as I do every night) it will take you through an hour and a half of content, not easy to find your spot if you dose off 10 minutes into it. My second issue is the chapter pauses... or lack there in. The pause between the end of a chapter and the beginning of the next chapter is about 2 microseconds... like its in the same sentence. highly annoying.
