Historia
If it can happen in show business, it’s happened to Jon Cryer. Now he’s opening up for the first time and sharing his behind-the-scenes stories in a warmly endearing, sharply observed, and frankly funny look at life in Hollywood. In 1986, Jon Cryer won over America as Molly Ringwald’s loyal and lovable best friend, Duckie, in the cult classic Pretty in Pink in a role that set the tone for his three-decade-long career in Hollywood. He went on to establish himself as one of the most talented comedic actors in the business.

Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities ("It's a piece of cake! Just do four hours of interviews, find someone else to write it, put your face on the cover, and voila!") I have decided to tell these stories just as I have always done, in my own voice.

The book & story was a pleasure to listen to , never boring, very interesting & well narrated. You learn a lot about music history, backgrounds of many groups, and what it is like to go thru life as an entertainer/rocker. Appreciate his talent & place in music history more now. I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in music, punk, rock history. Well done.👍😃

Listened to it while spending the day at Boca Raton beach, a nice way to pass the time & catch rays. A very troubling & frustrating history at times , but a good listen & glad a basically good person triumphed in the end. Always my favorite character on friends!👍

In The Grouchy Historian, Ed Asner leads the charge for liberals to reclaim the Constitution from the right-wingers who use it as their justification for doing whatever terrible thing they want to do, which is usually to comfort the comfortable and afflict the afflicted. It's about time someone gave them hell and explained that Progressives can read, too.

The way our history & constitution should be remembered & interpreted!
Revisado: 04-29-23
This was a pleasure to listen to. Very well framed, written & presented. You learn a lot about history, how our nation & our constitution, laws, bill of rights came to be, and not in the way you may have thought. I laughed out loud many times, & it helped pass the time while laying around the pool on vacation in Florida. I think most of our present right wing conservatives who think they know what the Constitution & Bill of Rights says should read this, so they can learn something and find out what the facts & truth is . Well done Ed! 👌😁

A very interesting & informative story. Learned a lot about such an influential & important person in our nations history. You realize how truly horrible war is & the stress our young nation went through, and the great responsibility that was thrust on Lincoln’s shoulders. A truly remarkable story and man.

If there’s one trait that makes someone well-suited to comedy, it’s being able to take a punch - metaphorically and, occasionally, physically. Told with a healthy dose of self-deprecation, A Very Punchable Face reveals the brilliant mind behind some of the dumbest sketches on television, and lays bare the heart and humor of a hardworking guy - with a face you can’t help but want to punch.

From the glamorous to the entitled, from royalty to the financially ruined, everyone who wanted to be seen—or just to gawk—at the hottest restaurants in New York City came to places Michael Cecchi-Azzolina helped run. His phone number was passed around among those who wanted to curry favor, during the decades when restaurants replaced clubs and theater as, well, theater in the most visible, vibrant city in the world. Besides dropping us back into a vanished time, Your Table Is Ready takes us places we’d never be able to get into on our own.
