Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Captured and kept my attention the entire story. Story line is good and touches on relevant issues of today along with family dynamics.

Creepy but relevant in todays world
Revisado: 04-06-23
Lisa brings another sensitive topic to the attention of her readers, this time human trafficking. It was hard to listen to at times.
Rainnie’s character was portrayed so different than the prior books. She came across as whiny and weak…granted she’s been through a lot on her time. I just don’t picture Rainnie not being that way.

Historia
An unspeakable act has ripped apart the idyllic town of Bakersville, Oregon, and its once-peaceful residents are demanding quick justice. But though a boy has confessed to the horrific crime, evidence shows he may not be guilty. Officer Rainie Conner, leading her first homicide investigation, stands at the center of the controversy. I listened to the first in this series. A Perfect Husband, and loved it. So following the order of this series I just finished listening to the Third Victim.
Tough topic to address but feel it was done well at the time the book was written. Given there been so many more shootings since this was written, it was hard to listen to at times. The title gives many ways to think about the victims, and understanding some of the psychology for each of the characters. I hope as I continue listening to Lisa’s books that I learn she has taken on other tough topics.

Historia
I am the type of woman who always plays it safe. In my professional life as a public relations "fixer", and in my personal life, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. Really, who needs the wild highs and the I-want-to-die-because-he-left-me lows of a relationship? At least, that's what I thought...until I met HIM. Damian No-Last-Name-Given is sexy as sin, and I'd developed some kind of weird, instant attraction to him the moment he settled his chiseled body next to mine on a flight from London to Los Angeles.
