Good storyline, but so glad to get to the end and see the outcome of the predictions. Enjoyed this book tremendously. Cherry is VERY similar to Joy in another of author's books, but I love her spirit in narration.

It was a break from my normal read, but I enjoyed the story. There were several twists to go along with some expected turns. Overall would recommend this book to almost anyone.

A lighter read for me, but worth the credit.

I enjoyed the book. The generational parallels were a good read. No overuse of cursing as filler material, no erotica. Just a book that was worth reading. I will recommend it to friends who like this type fiction. No problem with the narration.

My second time listening as I needed something "meaty" to engage my mind while doing mindless tasks. I do believe Ms. Tartt has written 2 of my favorite books. The Goldfinch had my heart clenched immediately, as did this one.

It was a difficult listen at times, all the struggle of just existing. But also a cold, hard reminder we are all a disaster away from everything changing forever. One misstep changed his life, his livelihood and family forever. I will recommend to a few friends who will appreciate all he did to better his life after tragedy. Glad I listened!

I have only myself to blame. Part 1, I understood the role of MaryBeth as a mother completely. If you've ever had a teenager, you know the gnawing, continuous doubt that you are doing the right thing. Part 2 was painful. Precious Anna Q books I have read, without fail, have drug me under the water and held me there until my lungs hurt. This book is no exception. I haven't read this author in many years for that reason. Just be prepared.
