Historia
Woods Cop is an intense, well written account about a true wildlife warrior and his fight against the criminals who plunder our natural resources. Wasserman’s encounters with hostile, armed poachers in the backwoods of Pennsylvania is sure to keep you resisting pause until the last chapter has been heard. It's a book that will make you think about it long after you put it down. A book about a thin green line of dedicated game wardens, vastly outnumbered, who risk their lives on a daily basis in order to protect our wildlife for future generations to come.

Historia
In Wildlife Wars, Terry Grosz serves up fascinating stories - alternately hair-raising, hilarious, and heart-wrenching - from his 30-year struggle to protect wildlife in America. A natural storyteller, Grosz writes about the remarkable characters he met - on both sides of the law - as he matched wits with elk poachers, salmon snaggers, commercial-market duck hunters, and a host of other law-breakers. Best of all, though, these stories are so remarkably entertaining you won't want to put them down.

This compelling nonfiction work takes the reader into a convoluted eight month infiltration of a group of squalid criminals trafficking in wildlife by two undercover game wardens. Latham doesn't hold back on the language in this book nor does he downplay the vile acts that occurred against both the human and wildlife victims in this twisted tale. If you think poachers are just a bunch of good old boys out for a bit of meat, this true story is bound to reshape your opinion.

Behind a Thin Green Line is the tense story of a solo undercover investigation into a sociopathic ring of poachers. In Idaho’s remote Pahsimeroi Valley, Latham takes a shot at infiltrating this brutal gang of outlaws led by a man who lives to kill. This true story is an enlightening look into a collision of two grossly conflicting cultures of poachers and game wardens.

Leigh Merryday Porch offers insight into how parents of children with autism can redefine hope in a world that often has a narrow view of what hope is supposed to look like for their kids. As an educator and expert on autism spectrum disorders as well as the mother of a son who is autistic, Porch knows well the pressure parents of special needs children feel to overcome any and all challenges their children face. According to Porch, we must write our own stories about what is possible for our kids and love them just as they are.

The Appalachian Trail trail stretches from Georgia to Maine and covers some of the most breathtaking terrain in America - majestic mountains, silent forests, sparking lakes. If you’re going to take a hike, it’s probably the place to go. And Bill Bryson is surely the most entertaing guide you’ll find. He introduces us to the history and ecology of the trail and to some of the other hardy (or just foolhardy) folks he meets along the way - and a couple of bears. Already a classic, A Walk in the Woods will make you long for the great outdoors (or at least a comfortable chair to sit and read in).

It’s hard work, and totally solitary - perfect to hide away from the Mexican drug cartels he betrayed back in Arizona. But when Rice finds the carcass of a bear killed on the grounds, the quiet solitude he’s so desperately sought is suddenly at risk.

Something in the fearless animal's eyes keeps young Dave from killing the wolf. Instead Dave releases Gray Cloud, who is unable to walk, and rescues him from a prairie fire that threatens them both. Dave brings Gray Cloud home and chains him in a shed that he uses as a blacksmith shop.

Fly fishermen everywhere will enjoy these varied, witty, and engaging adventures by one of America’s finest outdoor writers. There is a long section on trout fishing called "Brookies, Browns, and Bows", and another on the challenges and excitement of saltwater fly fishing, and an exciting group of memoirs about fishing near home and in far-flung and often exotic places - like the Minipi, Bighorn, and Norfolk rivers, where the trout can beggar the imagination, and where frustration can be the occupational hazard.

Historia
In this long-awaited prequel to his New York Times bestselling series, Jefferson Bass turns the clock back to reveal the Body Farm's creation - and Dr. Bill Brockton's deadly duel with a serial killer. In the summer of 1992, Arkansas governor Bill Clinton and Tennessee senator Al Gore begin their long-shot campaign to win the White House. On a sweltering hillside in Knoxville, Dr. Bill Brockton, the bright, ambitious young head of the University of Tennessee's Anthropology Department, launches an unusual - some would call it macabre - research facility, unlike any other in existence.

Great story telling
I have the privilege of living somewhat local to area describes and to have met the author several years ago. Being an avid outdoorsman and on the water quite a bit I have a new appreciation for our Florida Wildlife Control officers. The story was narrated well and thoroughly enjoyed this.

Jimmy in Florida
Being a true Florida cracker, this book has a lot to offer. The tales of monkey fishing and turkey poachers are fun, entertaining and intriguing. It’s narrated great and paced well. So far I’ve listened to it twice and possibly a third is order.

Wildlife poachers and fishing game cops play toget
Disclaimer I worked in Florida in environmental enforcement so maybe I have more of an affinity for this book than others may but I thought it was well written and told nice stories about real characters and the person who told the stories was someone you want to know it's kind of good when books do that for you Thanks Carol

True and gritty
This book was surprisingly well written & cohesive. It was lots of fun. Descriptors, and individual stories of bad guys and rapscallions . I live in Florida; North Central Florida in fact, so many of the areas that were mentioned in the book places I've been to . Rodman damn , St. John's river & Palatka . It is great fun to hear the stories of real people.

Leadership
Overall this was a great book! I have lived in FL my whole life and am an avid outdoorsman! I can relate to many of these stories, having lived them or heard countless stories from friends and family around the dinner table or a camp fire. The author told these stories in a very entertaining way that makes the reader feel like they were present for the adventures! This book will shed a bright light on the trial and tribulations of a wildlife officer’s daily life and definitely deepened my respect for them!
