Have you ever dreamed of traveling through space, exploring our 8 planets and the Milky Way galaxy?
In Journey Through The Solar System, you can join the experience of a lifetime without leaving your home.
Get ready for an unforgettable space holiday! You're about to launch on a voyage beyond your wildest dreams, touring the marvels of our Solar System (the sun, planets, comets, and asteroids) and the mysteries of the cosmos.
As a child, I dreamed of flying through space, admiring distant planets and star-forming nebulae. And now, through the magic of storytelling, I've brought that dream to life. In this audiobook, you'll join me on a thrilling trip that will take you to the furthest reaches of outer space and all the celestial bodies in between.
But this is no ordinary tour–you'll travel in style aboard Orion Tours' state-of-the-art shuttle, the Dragon's Lance. When you arrive at Orion Tours headquarters, you'll be greeted by a personal tour guide who will take you to the launchpad, assist you with a safety check of your spacesuit, and keep you on schedule for the launch window. When you hear "T minus 2 minutes," you'll feel excited to ignite the engines and rocket through outer space. From the sun's scorching heat to the Kuiper Belt's frozen depths, you'll discover the secrets of our Solar System and the many wonders that lie beyond.
Along the way, you'll encounter a mysterious "snowman," witness the majesty of distant galaxies and superclusters and learn about the history and advancements of space exploration. With an exciting narrative filled with fascinating details, hiking on our rocky planets and moons, this is a space quest you'll never forget.

In 1959, the Soviet probe Luna 3 took the first photos of the far side of the Moon. Even in their poor resolution, the images stunned scientists: The far side is an enormous mountainous expanse, not the vast lava plains seen from Earth. Subsequent missions have confirmed this in much greater detail. How could this be, and what might it tell us about our own place in the universe? As it turns out, quite a lot. When the Earth Had Two Moons is an astonishing exploration of planet formation and the origins of life by one of the world’s most innovative planetary geologists.

Icy, rocky, sometimes dusty, always mysterious – comets and asteroids are among the Solar System's very oldest inhabitants, formed within a swirling cloud of gas and dust in the area of space that eventually hosted the Sun and its planets. Locked within each of these extra-terrestrial objects is the 4.6-billion-year wisdom of Solar System events, and by studying them at close quarters using spacecraft we can coerce them into revealing their closely-guarded secrets. This offers us the chance to answer some fundamental questions about our planet and its inhabitants.

Professor Brian Cox uncovers some of the most extraordinary natural events on Earth and in the universe and beyond. From the immensity of the universe and the roundness of Earth to the form of every single snowflake, the forces of nature shape everything we see. Pushed to extremes, the results are astonishing. In seeking to understand the everyday world, the colours, structure, behaviour and history of our home, we develop the knowledge and techniques necessary to step beyond the everyday.

In the year 2031, a robot probe detects traces of biological activity on Enceladus, one of Saturn's moons. This sensational discovery shows that there is indeed evidence of extraterrestrial life. Fifteen years later, a hurriedly built spacecraft sets out on the long journey to the ringed planet and its moon. The international crew is not just facing a difficult twenty-seven months: if the spacecraft manages to make it to Enceladus without incident it must use a drillship to penetrate the kilometer-thick sheet of ice that entombs the moon.

Since its 2009 launch, the Kepler satellite has discovered more than 2,000 exoplanets, or planets outside our solar system. More exoplanets are being discovered all the time, remarkable in their variety. Astronomer Michael Summers and physicist James Trefil explore these remarkable recent discoveries: planets revolving around pulsars, planets made of diamond, planets that are mostly water, and numerous rogue planets wandering through the emptiness of space.

We live at the bottom of an ocean of air - 5,200 million million tons, to be exact. It sounds like a lot, but Earth’s atmosphere is smeared onto its surface in an alarmingly thin layer - 99 percent contained within 18 miles. Yet, within this fragile margin lies a magnificent realm - at once gorgeous, terrifying, capricious, and elusive. With his keen eye for identifying and uniting seemingly unrelated events, Chris Dewdney reveals to us the invisible rivers in the sky that affect how our weather works and the structure of clouds and storms and seasons, the rollercoaster of climate.

In Calculating the Cosmos, Ian Stewart presents an exhilarating guide to the cosmos, from our solar system to the entire universe. He describes the architecture of space and time, dark matter and dark energy, how galaxies form, why stars implode, how everything began, and how it's all going to end. He considers parallel universes, the fine-tuning of the cosmos for life, what forms extraterrestrial life might take, and the likelihood of life on Earth being snuffed out by an asteroid.

Informative
Journey through the solar system is a great narration and easy to understand. Personally, this book sparks up my imaginative mind and I agree with the author that space is a great adventure. Even as a child, I loved the study of the earth, the ozone layer, the moon, and the sun. The different planets. This book takes readers on a fascinating journey into the inner and outer parts of space and the life circle of the stars. I never even knew that there was such a thing as the life circle of the stars. I also enjoyed learning about the extensive preparation astronauts have to take to launch. Great information!

So Interesting!!
Glad I got this book. It's very entertaining...especially for a non-fiction book. In fact, it's kind of like a hybrid between the two. If you have any inkling of wanting to know more about space and/or your kids do, I highly recommend this book!

What an awesome experience!
Journey Through the Solar System is not like any other audiobook ,(or book for that matter), that I've ever experienced. The narration walks you through a rocket launch as if YOU are the one heading to space and then narrates an epic ride through space. The narration is professional, comical, and supplemented with fantastic sound effects. It feels like I just came back from a great day at the planetarium! This is a great read for anyone wanting a serious brush up on their outer space knowledge in a unique storytelling format.

Best book for space enthusiasts!
This was such an informative and captivating book to read. The book's name did not disappoint as it really felt like going on an unreal journey through our cosmic neighborhood. With the beautiful narration and up-to-date content, this short but immersive journey is perfect for space enthusiasts and curious minds like me. I loved the part where they used real recordings from space missions it really felt like I was travelling through space myself. I loved it!

Most fun Ive had learning about space in years!!
I loved this audiobook! you aren't just learning about planets, this book uses sound effects to take you on a futuristic tourism trip around our universe! you learn about spaceships and space travel, various space programs, and it teaches you about so many different things about space! there's discussions of black holes, Rogue planets, other universes, and thousands of other bits of scientific knowledge and astronomy! this is not only a fun book for older kids and adults, I could see this audiobook being used as a tool in schools. imagine allowing the students to listen to maybe half a chapter each day, and writing or drawing pictures about what they've learned! it's fun and creative, you will love this book even if you only have a mild interest in science!

Space Traveler
Pantheon Space Academy has done it again! Journey through the solar system is narrated expertly and truly makes you feel like you are taking a journey through the solar system.
As we travel on the Dragon's Lance they make it feel like you are actually wearing a space suit as you travel the solar system. In particular the mechanics of the solar system and what hold it together really had me complete my journey learning things i never knew before and feeling like a seasoned space enthusiast.

A fun ride
The book gets into details of our beautiful solar system as if we’re taking a ride. It is a really neat way of explaining space. I wanted to be an astronaut when I was a kid so this brought back the fun that I had for that idea. I really encourage people to ride into space with this audiobook.

This is what my son just needed!
As my son was always into the Outer space and I know it is a cliche but he really wants to be an astronomer or astronaut "Space sailor" when he will be an adult.
We really love this kind of entertaining and educational content, usually, we have our Wednesdays where during the evening or night we go upstairs and just stare at the stars with our telescope and talk and have deep conversations about the solar system and in the same time listen to his audiobook. It is just such a wonderful activity with my kid.
Overall ana amazing high-quality book with an amazing narrator full of educative information whoever wants to know more about different kinds of planets and space!
