Loved the story but was not thrilled with the narration. TB and Miranda make a great writing duo. I loved the humor, drama, and story telling in this one. Stephanie Murphy is a good narrator but her Boston accent was not very good and was very inconsistent. Overall I loved the story!

Great listen
Reviewed: 01-11-21
Great beginning to a series that should be quite compelling and hard to put down. I am looking forward to more as this one has a rather abrupt ending and leaves you wanting more :). There were parts in this story where Emma put in romantic scenes that I didn’t feel fit the story nor were they necessary and I’d anything took away from the storyline. Overall I enjoyed it. Emma is a great author and PJ Morgan did a fantastic job with the narration.

This one is a good read
Reviewed: 11-05-20
Emma Nichols does a great job showing readers the emotions of her characters, and this continues that trend. However, the plot seemed kind of flat. The love interest that was seemingly one one sided at the beginning of the book all of a sudden was requited and the romance story that we thought was going to happen didn't. The ending was rather abrupt and left questions unanswered. Not one of Emma Nichols's best works, but still a decent listen. Jessica Jeffries did a good job with the narration, although her American South accent fell flat.

Eleanor Fielding is an actuarial accountant from Manhattan, and an expert at assessing risk from every angle. Story
In a tiny village in the hills of Tuscany is a statue of Cupid with the power to grant the deepest desires of the heart to all who ask. The village is home to single mother Valentina, who runs a struggling chocolate shop. All she's ever wanted was to fit in, determined to provide a quiet, normal life for herself and her daughter. She works hard to keep it together, asking for nothing...especially not Cupid's help. Not when that would mean admitting to herself and everyone else that her deepest desire is to find the love of a woman.

Was pretty good

Stephanie Murphy does a great job narrating, but her lack of an Italian accent was disappointing considering this story took place in Italy, with mainly Italian characters. Also, Andy's character was extremely unlikeable at the very beginning - entitled and bossy - she was behaving like an extreme diva. This makes her behaviors later on in the book feel rather unbelievable and not genuine. Overall, it was as one would expect from Miranda MacLeod, a funny tale with laugh out loud moments.
