What a story! Both stellar narrators and most of our favorite P&P characters in a sort of Cinderella story.

This was such an enjoyable listen with low angst and one of my favorite narrators. Squeaky clean with a wonderfully thorough epilogue describing each character’s life after the story concluded.

I loved the epilogues showing the characters’ lives intersecting again and again over the course of the next couple of decades. I also appreciated that there isn’t a lot of angst. This is a very pleasant listen and Robert Frost always breathes so much life into his reading.

I like how this author finds unique ways to enlighten characters who were notoriously ignorant in cannon. In this vagary, we see our beloved characters grow and evolve with a good dose of humor mixed into most scenes. The surprise ending is superb!

I loved how the author combined elements from Austen’s P&P with those from LM Mongomery’s The Blue Castle. Two of my favorite authors!
There was a note in the description about scenes describing newly wedded bliss, but I wasn’t expecting them to be so steamy. Be warned if that’s not your thing or if you listen in an area where others may hear.
The rest of the story was a wonderful listen and I wasn’t ready for it to end.

You’ll love this one if you enjoy Jae George’s ability to weave scripture into new stories starring our favorite characters from P&P. I enjoyed this story’s low angst, clean, sweet, and comical diversion from canon.

Lots of angst, but a clean book that picks up right after Elizabeth figures out Darcy’s involvement in restoring Lydia’s reputation by setting up an occupation for Wickham. I feel like some loose ends were left, but it was a fun listen.

New take on Mr Bennet’s character

Here is another excellent variation by Victoria Lynn that I hope we eventually have narrated by a voice actor. The story does not revolve around Lizzy & Darcy so much as the Bennet women who are trauma bonded by Mr Bennet’s subtle abuse and his sabotage of the estate.
This retelling is clean with thought provoking themes of verbal and psychological abuse. It is a reminder of the powerlessness of the female sex during that time.
I wasn’t ready for this one to end.
