If you like true stories, this is a good one. Some parts are not easy to hear but they don't go deep into gruesome details.
Good listen. Some "plot twists". This woman has a heck of a story!

Good book & Ouch all at the same time....
Reviewed: 08-18-24
I wanted to love it but there was a strong message about your son's will not want you as a mom as teens they only relate and want dad.. they only relate to dad ans dont identify with mom nor want to speak to mom.. they only want- blah blah blah...
on another note there is great advice about talking to teens sons about sex ... and some other advice that was important about teens sons...
better for older kids - 10 years plus.. and as a mom, get ready to have your feelings hurt about how your kids won't want you as when they are teens...

He probably is! The info in this book is mostly pertaining to males. It is from a relationship standpoint for the most part but I used it to better understand my narcissist father and I think a lot of it was relatable to can be used in different situations.

Story
Eve has a problem with clutter. Too much stuff and too easily acquired, it confronts her in every corner and on every surface in her house. When she pledges to tackle the worst offender, her horror of a "hell room", she anticipates finally being able to throw away all of the unnecessary things she can't bring herself to part with: her fifth-grade report card, dried-up art supplies, an old vinyl raincoat. But what Eve discovers isn't just old CDs and outdated clothing, but a fierce desire within herself to hold on to her identity.

I try to be as kind as possible because I know authors put a lot of work into writing books.... however there was something missing for me in this one... I've read 20÷+ books on Hoarding, decluttering, organizing...
this book is a story about the authors experience - as a major clutter bug- many feeling and thoughts were relatable.. that's what I liked thw most about the book...
I just think It could have been better with a chapter about what the author learned about her no clutter year and a conclusion.. it didn't feel finished or wrapped up at the end in my opinion...
lastly she went back and forth with yes declttering is great mentally oh but I don't have to declutter like others to be happy if that's what I want kind of thinking...
idk, just my least favorite of all books on this topic
