Good enough to move on to book 2
Reviewed: 11-07-24
I liked the story but the female protagonist drove me nuts. I personally dislike people (in this case the woman) who agonize over every little decision and vacillates constantly, I mean, CONSTANTLY. It became so annoying, i fast forwarded a lot of her inner musings. To be fair, as reader or listener in a story like this you’d expect her to be shocked surprised and unbelieving to an extent. However once convinced it went on and on. The book felt more like the inner musings of an immature, self doubting woman with thought processes of an extremely insecure 16 yr old girl, not a woman. I was ready for the story to move along a quarter, half and three quarters in. With all of the above said, it has possibilities of becoming much better if the story actually moves on from her sometimes irrational state. I’m purchasing book 2 with that hope.

Gibsy/Gibs/Gussy/Jarod BBF ever 💗
Reviewed: 08-15-24
I’ve been waiting for Gibsy’s book and wow was it worth the wait! I didn’t see that coming, but the turn makes you love Gibsy more! He is one of the most charismatic and loveable BBF’s (best book friend) in this genre!
I loved the interactions with the core group, and the peeks and hints about where they all are at this particular stage, and personal interactions like Easter eggs in movies. The author creates rich, vivid and wonderful personalities, whether a main or side character, and you can’t help but want to know these people and what’s happening in their lives.
The reader is completely immersed, experiencing every emotion and experience as though living it. I love the boys of Tommen! Bravo to the narrators, both of whom have made each voice so distinct and authentic! Listening to this series on audible has been a joy! Absolutely one of my favorite young adult series! Thank you Chloe Walsh!

One flawed but redeemable character, one character holding on to hope while taking hits to self esteem, and one fantastic hilarious little girl. They are the base for a story full of ups and downs, while the reader can’t help but root for their triumph in the end!

This is one of my all time favorite series in this genre. If you haven’t read the series stop! Now download the first books beginning with Binding 13. I am a huge Fallen Crest fan and I have listened to this series as many times if not more than Fallen Crest. I’m American and at first the accents and slang (based in Ireland) were so diff I didn’t know if I’d get into the story but needless to say I “fecking” love it!! The narrators were so amazing I’d go far enough to say no others could have done better!
Amazing amazing amazing series… just get it!

Santino is my king. My lover. My husband. He’s the head of the Cavallo crime family, and the moment he choked my vows from me, my life was bound to his. I’m done fighting my fate, until I hear two rumors, and I’m shaken to the core. One rumor about the past - that I wasn’t the first bride Santino took. Another about the future - a new bride is about to be taken. Changing the old ways is like dousing the flames of hell with tears. But I married the devil himself, and when I vowed to obey, I lied. Book two of three in the The Dilustro Arrangement.

Negatives; one of the worst, annoying female characters ever. OMG I couldn’t take one more minute of her self dialogue- the sheltered know it all instructing a mafioso on business… yeah no

This series only gets better and better! I haven’t had this much fun since MJ Sullivan’s Ryira! The World building is exceptional, the various main/side characters are absolutely fantastic, and you can feel the storylines converging but not wanting them too, for fear of an ending to this incredible journey!
Please tell me the next installment is soon!!!
(And that the prince doesn’t wed aryion’s girl lol)
I can’t wait to experience the power T grows in too, and Adorra? Who knew? That was a nice surprise.
Narration was of course, TEN flaming stars!

Strong start to series!
Reviewed: 05-03-23
I’m always looking for a good angst romance along the lines of fallen crest series etc, this book has a great start. It’s a rh (or will be I think lol) and it’s got the angst of childhood besties turned enemies turning something more. It reminds me a bit of Bully by Penelope Douglas which I loved so I’m glad I picked this one up for a credit and took a chance.
Another thing I like is the female protagonist is just the right balance of tough & self assured with a sweet caring nature but not a doormat.
