I loved this book. The nature magic, the amazing love and bond between two people. wonderful narrator, did such a good job bringing it all to life. My one problem, it seemed so short. I got hooked and then it was over. I want more. 🤣🥰 Excellent job to all who made it possible. Hats off to you.

Disappointing

Movies are never as good as the books right? Well not this time. The movie was way better. I feel like after spending 17 hours waiting for this book to get as good as it could have been all I did was listen to someone say over and over again "My birthday is coming I'm turning evil". That theme was what this whole book rode on. I got so tired of hearing it. So I thought well too bad, not my style ,life goes on, I'll get over it. But then in the last thirty minutes of the book out of nowhere there are new narrators. So I figured something must have happened that caused them to need a new narrator. I can't imagine they would do it on purpose. You listen to 16 hours of one guy with one style, you've got the feel of his narrating and then wham a whole new person. So all I can say is that I would not recommend this book and if you do listen, be prepared for new narrators to finish the book. I gave the performance 3 stars because Kevin, the narrator for 16 hours, really does a great job. I had to mark it down for the switch at the end, which ruined the whole performance. As much as this next sentence makes me cringe to say, my suggestion is, just watch the movie and find a different book to read. Good luck and happy listening.

Can't get past the narration

Honestly I couldn't listen to this whole book. I listened as far as I could. I found myself too distracted by the narrator. She is, I don't know, "trying too hard". Her focus is so much on the words and pronunciation that it detracts from the meaning and comprehension of the subject matter. Not a winner for me. I will be returning this one for sure.

Humorous, Great story line

This series has been fun and entertaining. I loved the twist on what it means to be a wizard. But I have to say that even if this wasn't a great series I would listen just to hear Luke Daniels at work. I have never heard a better narrator. I will give a book a chance just because Mr. Daniels is narrating it. Warning, once you've heard Daniels you can never go back.

Holy Cow I loved this series

Okay Mr. Hearne has a fantastic writing style and coupled with Luke Daniels this blew me away. I laughed at times like someone next to me had made a joke. Where are some more from this series Mr Hearne? Also I have to say, I will listen to books now just because Mr. Daniels has narrated them. Even if they aren't what I would normally want to listen to. I think you can tell I'm sold on the author and the narrator. Wow.
