Story
Returning to the territory he so brilliantly explored in his masterful New York Times best seller American Gods, the incomparable Neil Gaiman offers up a work of dazzling ingenuity, a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth that is at once startling, terrifying, exhilarating, and fiercely funny, a true wonder of a novel that confirms Stephen King's glowing assessment of the author as "a treasure house of story, and we are lucky to have him."

All I knew was that this was a continuation of American Gods. While that is a masterpiece, in many ways this book is a gentler and more enjoyable book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It faithfully extends the story of Huckleberry Finn into adulthood with a realistic plot and comical storyline.

Story
When Lane Coolman's car is bashed from behind on the road to the Florida Keys, what appears to be an ordinary accident is anything but (this is Hiaasen!). Behind the wheel of the other car is Merry Mansfield - the eponymous Razor Girl - and the crash scam is only the beginning of events that spiral crazily out of control while unleashing some of the wildest characters Hiaasen has ever set loose.

Fairly typical Hiaasen

Crazy but very appealing girl, gangsters, con-men and a protagonist with issues. An amusing if unoriginal Hiaasen novel. Also, John Rubinstein's narration was a little dark for the light tone of the book.
