Worst British accent ever
Reviewed: 01-27-25
The story was fairly decent. Started off slow but picked up nicely in the latter half…
The narrator was rubbish though. His British accent was terrible and you couldn’t tell one character apart from another except the MC who was in a normal non-accented voice.

I love that there was still plenty of action but also a slow down slice of life feel that the story definitely needed.. can’t wait to see where the series goes next.

Story
Due to unusual circumstances, Randidly starts in an isolated dungeon far beyond his level, forced to rely on the mysterious Traveler Shal in order to learn and survive with the dangerous new status quo for his world. But survive he does, only to leave the dungeon and discover that while he experienced several hellish months in the dungeon, only half a day passed on Earth. Randidly's capabilities are now more than enough to help build a small enclave of survivors, but that doesn't mean balancing his sense of responsibility against the plots of an unfriendly town will be easy.

I enjoyed the storyline and world building… great initial progress for making an OP character. My only dislike would be the amount of stats, especially for side characters. Five minutes of reading stat screens for every side character is a little much

The prestigious Legionnaire Academy of Du Gok Bhong—an institution centuries old and one I never thought I'd qualify for, much less attend. Yet here I am, a Gold Bracket contender and 8th Tier Core Realm Cultivator, starship-bound to compete with the thousands of other tributes from the occupied colony worlds across the stars. For most, it's a death sentence. For me, it's my one chance to gain the imperial status I need to liberate the Earth and marry the girl I love.

Story
The city of Celum is not much like Liscor at all. While Erin is surrounded by familiar, human faces, she’s far from home and without her inn. At the same time, a certain ill-tempered Lyonette is squatting in Erin’s inn, and Goblins are on the move. The Goblin Lord’s threat reaches across the entire region, and the Redfang tribe has rallied against him with the Floodplains tribe, although their Chieftains do not agree on some crucial matters. This winter, there is only snow, Goblins, magic, and iambic pentameter.

I’ve liked the series so far, even tho there’s a little too much self deprecating Existential Crisis’ going on… But this book in particular was hard to get through because of all the different character POV’s…
Honestly I don’t care about all the side characters, and I’m disappointed in the lack of story progression for the MC’s…

"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

First I’d like to say that I did enjoy this book, enough to see what the second book looks like. There’s just a few things that kind of turned me off to the series. The MC is seriously inept and naive and almost every character has continued and monotonous existential crises, sometimes it was too much for me… I just hope that it gets better in book two

Story
Try as he might, Fischer still can't catch a break. Tropica's forces have just perpetrated the fantasyland equivalent of crashing the king's party, kicking over the punch bowl, and making a series of rude gestures on their way out. Unfortunately, they're about to learn firsthand that when you take a bully down to the mat, it's best to make sure they don't get back up. Because their enemies are unearthing long-forgotten powers, and if those dabbling in the resulting destructive chi succeed, they could become even more annoying than the time Corporal Claws hid all of Fischer's pants.
