Story
In Ravka, just because you avoid one trap, it doesn't mean you'll escape the next. This story is a companion folk tale to Leigh Bardugo's upcoming book, Siege and Storm, the second book in the Grisha Trilogy.

Good things, and bad, come in all sorts of packaging!

I learned similar lessons while growing up in New York City. As you grew up through your teenaged years, you learned to watch for what you didn't see right away. Like a boxer's feint before the big punch, a basketball player's crossover dribble or a Hienz Ward blindside block on an unsuspecting safety, if you fail to have a good sense of your surroundings and jump at the obvious or something seems "too easy", it is because it is. There is an old adage that states "do you know what you get when you "Assume"? You get an "Ass" of "U" and "Me".
I think the narrator did an excellent job. Pacing and inflect were spot on. I had read this story quite some time ago and it has lost none of
it's lessons.
