I really enjoyed this book because of how the H was a complete a hole. He thought she’d be fine living in luxury and only seeing the h. Not much and treating her badly. He broke her heart so many times. Telling her that he would never love her. And he’d thought that everything was ok so it seemed. But when he missed the birth of their son that caused her to crack. Just when they started getting along together she was kid napped assumed dead.

I loved the h she was strong. She had her own thing going and even though she had been hurt by the H she kept trying. Even though he shunned her she kept going.
This part 1 of the book was very different from book 2.

Part 2 started off with the H is still angry upset and never gave up on her possibility that she might not be dead despite the evidence that she was dead. When he finds her it’s a shock to him.

Part 2 started off with the h did not remember her life for the last 2 years.
She had to build a whole new life for herself.

When they reconnected he didn’t take her amnesia well, but this time he knew he loved her. This part 2 book was a very contrast to part 1. The H was very different in Part 2 He just had to covince her that he was in love with her as she started to remember the bad times like when he said I will never love you and missing Elias birth. When she remembers those times she called him out. But in the end he was able to show her how much he loved her.

This book had me going. I enjoyed the aspect of 2 parts of the book.
I was very much into the book from the first page.

I highly recommend this book. I have not read the first book yet so I’m going to do that next.

I read this book a couple years ago. I loved it so much the first time I read this book. The love between Leo and Felicity was amazing. When she went to England thinking she would stop the wedding only to find out it was 2 years too late and he was already emotional I cried for most of the rest of the book.
This read was extremely emotional all the way to the HEA. This is my favorite book of all of Penelope Ward books and I’ve read a lot of them.

How can there be chemistry when there is no conversation. This is mostly inner dialogue. Usually the chemistry is shown through interaction between the characters. I’m really disappointed.

I enjoyed this series so much that I have read it and used audible over 5 times.
I must say that the male narrator has done an awesome job reading every book I’ve ever read that he has narrated.
But back to this book. I loved the 2 MC.
Sienna was like a breath of fresh air for Cato. She showed how independent she was by resisting him at first and even after their first few times together. I don’t mean she didn’t give into him when he seduced her, but she stayed true to not being his “whatever you want please” to have him. I enjoyed the fact at first even when they started getting hot intimate she didn’t like him. But he grew on her not only because the sex was so good, but she came to realize that he wasn’t so bad and actually started having some feelings for him.

Again, with Cato Sienna was like a breath of fresh air. To him he’d never had a woman say no to him or resist him. As he went after her he found, not knowing he was being played, that she wasn’t interested in his money or his power she just wanted him while she was decorating his house. I found their conversations so telling. Especially how lonely and sad Cato actually was.
I felt like he started feeling for her before she did. He showed that in the ending when he stopped Banks from continuing to hit her.

I was definitely into how much they enjoyed each other sexually but it did at times seem over the top.
I also did not like the fact that Cato threatened a client of his wife and daughter. To me that’s just too cruel. I don’t know why it had to be written in that way but oh well.
Again, I loved the book and that’s why I have read it over and over again!

I was shocked at how good this book was. I knew it had to be good but not as good as I have found other Penelope books.
I fell in love with the MMC and MFC. Both of them were written with depth even though their relationship was an affair. Man did they have chemistry! I would have thought that it would get boring while they were for the most part just having passionate sex for the entire book. But as that was happening you could tell that it was more than just an affair but growing some emotions. I don’t think they love each other yet of course but they are already on their way. I will just have to keep reading this series to see their love grow.
I am interested what’s in store for them after he basically told her he didn’t save her that she was to be his.
I definitely recommend this book!

I enjoyed the mystery part of the book but I never felt a true connection with the main characters. They lacked depth. They had a history but by the time he told her which was also new to the reader for me it was past the point of depth in the relationship. Due to them being alone together it made the story more bland.

The narrators were very good.

But just to note this book had a high rating on both Amazon and Goodreads so my review is not favorable but to many others were favorable.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s definitely going to be a reread. I felt the passion and love between the two MC.
The narrators were awesome. I might have felt the chemistry better because I bought another book that had both narrators in it. The male narrator is awesome and really brings out the passion during intimate parts.

Overall I loved this book and also the narrators!
