Why are the daughters so annoying throughout the storyline and turn out to be kick butt in the end? The , I can’t do this, I’m not strong enough, I’m a liability, he can’t love me, it’s better this way 😒. It makes it hard to keep going but something about the books just keep you from giving up half way. 😩

A little disappointing. I was intrigued in the beginning but then the story lost its appeal. There were a few moments when it got repetitive and Less action than the first book. Luckily it had some redeeming moments. Her powers and the ease of it was interesting and made it fun to read.

The story line was interesting. I liked that it slowly progressed. It wasn’t an instant romance nor was instant hero. This book was somewhat of a slow burner but it was due to all the little details that incorporated the story as a whole. From beginning to end it was a good book. Kept me captivated and waiting to see what happened next. This book can definitely be a standalone and still leave the reader satisfied. Let’s see what the other books have to offer.

I think this series was cute adorable, a little bit of spice but not much battle nor fight. I wish it had more grit. The story lines have so much potential and seem to be heading towards an epic fight only for it to end too quickly and be left with all the angst. Maybe it’s all the books I’ve been reading but I wish it had more gumption.

Diem finally stopped whining so much and started kicking butt. I think this book shows you more of her growth and maturity. It was a lot better than the previous books. This one captured your attention and had the reader waiting on bated breaths to see what would happen next. I can see where it’s heading. However some of Diems ideas or decisions are beyond me. Most of the time I’m like 🤦‍♀ï¸?. Why isn’t she thinking things through or why does she allow people to just keep treating her so badly? Her good heartedness is completely contradicting. It makes no sense. It only counts when it’s a stupid idea? 😒

Also, what the heck is going on with the endings? Your 💀me. I need to know what happens next?

I’m sorry but it’s a 3.5 for me. I love “Lu’s” character but Diem’s character gets on my nerves! She is so whiny throughout the book. For me the other characters have more gusto and sass. You’ll have to get through 3/4 of the book in order for it to start getting good. Diem rises to the challenge but the ending is what does it. Makes me keep going. 😩
Let’s hope she guts up. 🤞

At first I thought, oh this is a slow burner but now after getting through the first book I’m not too sure. More of a Crockpot type of cooking. I get where the story is going but some things are unnecessary while others need a little more background. Maybe it’s slowly starting to progress? I’m still curious enough to continue but I hope this story has more gumption.

What the heck! I’m not going to lie, this book was staring to get annoying in some parts but what the heck is up with the story development? You just reel me back in and leave me wanting? I’m excited to see where this goes.

This series is definitely in it for the long run. Most series have second book syndrome but not this weird. Each book gets better. The storyline progresses and the main characters evolve beautifully. I can’t wait to see what happens and how epic each ending is. I’m not a spoiler person but damn. I want to read the ending just to see how it turns out now but I know it will just ruin things. But definitely recommend this series so far 😆

I enjoyed the direction of this story. It’s definitely a slow burner but a good book. The Queen gets on my nerves but that ending! Damn, something told me it was going to play out this way.
