In Jim’s absence, Zorlando has been doing a pretty good job keeping Windfall safe. He doesn’t know - and may not be equipped for - what is heading straight toward Noobtown, though. Will Jim beat the Pirates while he is on Glorious Roberts’ ship? Will he make it back to his beloved city before Maggie, the assassin, gets there? Why are there pirates attempting to sack Windfall? Most importantly, will Shart ever be the opposite of inside out again?

Story
Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t. They broke up five months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends. Which is how they find themselves sharing a bedroom at the Maine cottage that has been their friend group’s yearly getaway for the last decade.

This thing is a snoozefest. The jumping between times makes it had to follow and although it has a romantic “comedy” tag, I don’t believe there was anything funny.
There were also several mentions of drug use that turned me off.
Wow this was bad.

Story
Confession: I'm attracted to my student's dad. Let me give you Tyler Dixon's resume: thoughtful, manly, father of the year, widower, ridiculously attractive (basically the opposite of a dad bod). This might sound like good news for someone like me—someone who dreams of getting married and becoming a mom—but it's not. Getting involved with a parent is a ground for immediate removal at my school, and right now, my fragile heart can't handle being fired. My mom just died. My boyfriend broke up with me, and to top it all off, my dad started dating again.

Cute book with a few laugh out loud moments. Performance was okay with the female character sounding a little too stiff, more like just reading the words and not really performing. No spice in this one.

Story
I knocked up my best friend's sister. Let's start with how she decided to inform me and Pacey the news...together. Imagine that nightmare. I was going into what I thought was a hockey marketing meeting, and then bam! I'm going to be a dad and my best friend/teammate is attempting to imprint my face with his fist. Threats were tossed around, friendships were revoked, and then I was marched up to her apartment, suitcases in hand, and forced to live with her so I could take care of her every need. Now I'm finding it harder and harder not to fall for my best friend's little sister.

Perfect story until the last act.
Reviewed: 03-24-23
Starts off great, lots of banter and some moments that made me stop and laugh. Then the 3rd act hits and it all goes down hill, really to the point of just turning it off. Penny just seems to drop off the deep end, treating Eli shamefully, it really becomes hard to listen to and could have been so much better. The same effect could have been accomplished without halting all the comedy and without making the listener cringe.
Give it a listen, just be prepared for the end.

Story
Running into your ex is never ideal. Running into your ex who is now dating your nemesis is a literal nightmare. That’s how I found myself in a sheer panic, reaching for the closest guy at the bar and kissing him. And to my delight he was easily the most attractive man I’ve ever seen.

Great story, disappointing ending
Reviewed: 03-17-23
If you are looking for a read that has plenty of witty banter and laugh out loud moments then give this title a listen.
The chemistry between the 2 characters is amazing. Ollie being outgoing and perky vs. Silas who is a gruff, hard on the outside hockey player makes for some interesting banter and one liners.
However for me, the "there it is" moment is just over played. Just once I wish authors would break from the mold. Most stories follow the same recipe, They meet, tease each other, fall in love (or lust) then the big fight or the "there it is" moment. It seems most of the time, just a simple misunderstanding.
The ending to this project could have been so much better if a little trust was written in and instead of the cookie cutter stamp, the main characters banded together to go after the miscreant.
BTW, if you are looking for spice, plenty here, just go ahead and grab a fan and a bottle of water...,

Story
The quintessential question asked to every couple. And the answer is usually some bubbly, lovey dovey tale of being struck in the bum by Cupid’s arrow. My meet cute (well, not so meet cute) is slightly different. I was trolling a wealthy neighborhood in Beverly Hills, searching for someone to take me as their bride, you know, to make my arch nemesis jealous who consequently just fired me.

This story starts out great, lots of banter and some pretty laughable lines but then it falls into the normal trope and becomes predictable which is a shame.

Story
King crab fisherman Fox Thornton has a reputation as a sexy, carefree flirt. Everyone knows he’s a guaranteed good time—in bed and out—and that’s exactly how he prefers it. Until he meets Hannah Bellinger. She’s immune to his charm and looks, but she seems to enjoy his… personality? And wants to be friends? Bizarre. But he likes her too much to risk a fling, so platonic pals it is. Now, Hannah's in town for work, crashing in Fox’s spare bedroom. She knows he’s a notorious ladies’ man, but they’re definitely just friends.

The story starts great but then it gets long and tedious. For me, not enough banter between the 2 characters and it seems to end cold. I had a hard time finishing this one.
