Nothing in this book was completely revolutionary to me. But this is also because I’ve read dedicated books for each section the author covered. With that said, I think this was a great one stop shop summary of all of those useful philosophies.

Story
Look at a map of the world and you’ll see a colorful checkerboard of nation-states. But this is not where power actually resides. Over the last decade, globalization has shattered the map into different legal spaces: free ports, tax havens, special economic zones. With the new spaces, ultracapitalists have started to believe that it is possible to escape the bonds of democratic government and oversight altogether. Crack-Up Capitalism follows the most notorious radical libertarians around the globe as they search for the perfect space for capitalism.

In this divisive and tumultuous time across the US and many developed countries this book explores what the alternative might look like. Just don’t look for the definitive answer, as this book is more of a brainstorm rather than a path to an exact solution.

Story
Something new entered our world in November 2022—the first general purpose AI that could pass for a human and do the kinds of creative, innovative work that only humans could do previously. Wharton professor Ethan Mollick immediately understood what ChatGPT meant: after millions of years on our own, humans had developed a kind of co-intelligence that could augment, or even replace, human thinking. Through his writing, speaking, and teaching, Mollick has become one of the most prominent and provocative explainers of AI.

This book if free or AI bravado. Rather it’s an interesting interrogation of what the future would look like if AI technology meets or fails the expectations.

Story
Fumio Sasaki is not an enlightened minimalism expert or organizing guru like Marie Kondo - he's just a regular guy who was stressed out and constantly comparing himself to others, until one day he decided to change his life by saying goodbye to everything he didn't absolutely need. The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him.

This book shined a spotlight on some of my notoriously bad habits. Collection of things. Buying to be able to talk about the fact that I own this thing. Posing with the books on my shelf that I never read. It was uncomfortable but I’m happy I read this book and now slowly moving towards a much cleaner house.

It’s not a book, but rather a manual to positioning and selling your product. I’ve been in the SaaS industry for nearly 15 years and after many bouts with packaging of the products, I wish I had this book like 10 years ago. Highly recommend to anyone on GTM, especially at SaaS.
