I kind of liked this book, but I read God of Malice and God of Pain prior to this one, and I thought those were better. This one was still pretty good but the couple just didn't have much time together and there really wasn't much relationship building; it went from enemy's to we're together with really no reason why. Also, it kind of gets old reading about girls with no self respect that just melt everytime the guy pays attention to them just because he's good looking. Sorry, but if someone screws up, at least make them work for it. The FMC talked a big game and then within seconds forgot all about staying strong and just gave in to the MMC after he'd screw up big time and be terrible to her; no thanks man, I don't care how good looking you are if you're a j*rk. Byyee. I also thought Nicole was a horrible person and Dan is bad friend to like her after all she did to Astrid. She got off too easy in my opinion. The climax and ending seemed to wrap up too quickly as well.
The narrators for the audiobook did a great job though! I'm still not disappointed I read it, but it could have been better. These characters were brought up in God of Malice since these are the parents of the FMC in that one, I thought their story would be more interesting.

Walker Davis is going to ruin me... but for once, it might be worth it. I'm a pariah, an outcast, and my life is not my own. I went to that hockey game hoping for an escape and found one in him. They call Walker Davis "Disney" for a reason; the superstar goalie is the Prince Charming of every girl's dreams. He told me he understood I just wanted one perfect night... but now he's everywhere I go. He seems to know everything about me. He keeps saying I'm the one. And he's trying to change my last name.

Very enjoyable. Obviously in real life this type of controlling behavior wouldn't be acceptable and the male characters are definitely morally grey but in the book it seems a little sexy. I've already read this book on my Kindle when it was first released and I've also bought the paperback edition and ordered the special edition from the author, but loved these narrators as well. I think they did an excellent job, especially the male. The FMC is a little pathetic in this book and I wish she had been a little stronger but she's still likeable and she went through a lot so some of it is understandable. There are two characters I hate; one of which is her mom. I'm glad they got what was coming to them. A lot of sm*t scenes but kind of expected in a book like this. Can't wait for Camden's book.

Definitely a red flag type MMC, but written perfectly so it's entertaining and you like the character. I had already read this on my Kindle when it first came out. I own a couple physical copies with different covers as well as a special limited edition and had heard the audiobook was awesome so I thought I'd give it a shot; It was awesome. The narrators did a really good job, especially the male narrator. It was fun to put a voice to the character and some attitude. I love Ari's humor and confidence and although in real life he may be overwhelming and maybe even slightly irritating, he's funny in the book. This Wrong Pucking Series is great. The MMC's devotion to their woman once they find them is something else; makes you form a major crush on their character. The FMC is a little annoying with her poor me act but she's still fairly likeable. Ari steals the show and makes the book though. Totally unacceptable and toxic real life behavior, but in the books it is total entertainment and oddly endearing. It's definitely sm*t, so if you don't enjoy that, here's your warning.

Another good book in the series

I really did like this book, I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites in the series, but it was still really good. I loved the different story; it wasn't a typical storyline or characters you read about all the time. It was unique. I have to say it was the saddest book of the series to me. My heart just broke for Bailey. Although the actions portrayed were realistic because people can be so judgy and assuming, it was hard to read how that made her feel. She was really kind and it was easy to love her character. Beau was pretty easy to love to; he was kind and thoughtful and did nice things even though he had turned into a crabby guy. He cared for people and did nice things for them without seeking recognition for it; in fact he'd rather it stay anonymous. He was struggling and I loved his character growth as well as Bailey's. They deserved their HEA and I'm glad they found it. I also loved Harvey as always. The narrators did great in this one as well! Amazing series.

I've loved almost every book in this series despite the 3rd and this is another great one. Winter needed her redemption and she got it in this book. I honestly wasn't looking forward to her book because I thought she was a terrible person in Flawless, but the author did an amazing job changing my mind. I'm so happy she found family that was good. And Theo... yeah he could definitely be my book boyfriend. He was a cinnamon roll when it came to Winter and he was so good with his baby. I just loved his character so much. I loved that his one night with Winter changed him and he wanted to be better and focus on more important things; I love that he waited for her. I'm also really happy the ex husband was finally held accountable finally. The narrators were awesome for book; they did a wonderful job and brought it to life. This book was a little sadder to me than the first two in the series; your heart really sympathizes with both MC's and their struggles. Winter doesn't think very highly of herself and Theo missed a lot of time he will never get back, but ultimately they grow and they get their HEA! I bought this book for my mom to read and also bought the paperback for myself as well so I can read it again someday. Great book!

This book was great! Some parts made me want to gag but that didn't take away from the excellence of this book. I loved both the MC's and I laughed several times. Despite their extra curriculars, the FMC & MMC had loveable personalities and you couldn't help but like them. Their relationship was adorable even though I wished they had gotten together sooner, but I loved how they waited for each other. The MMC was a real cinnamon roll when it came to the FMC and I thought it was adorable and ate it up. The narration was one of the best I've heard as well. Dual POV and they stuck with male voice for male MC and female voice for FMC even during the opposite person's chapter. I can't wait for the next book honestly.

Where do I start with this one... I wish I didn't have to rate this book so low, but there was really nothing I liked about this book. And it had nothing to do with the triggers. Haunting Adeline was an excellent book, so I assumed this one would be at least half decent. I almost didn't finish this one, but I had paid for it on audible so I forced myself to finish it. I got to a point where I almost didn't care to finish it even though I had paid for it. I just kept hoping it was over soon. The FMC and MMC were just the dumbest people. There really wasn't much to like about them. Nothing in the book made you really care about them or connect you to them. There really wasn't much character building or relationship building at all. They just all the sudden were in love at some point which made absolutely no sense. The FMC was judgemental and a b**ch to the the MMC for the majority of the book simply because her ab*sive POS boyfriend didn't like him; with no explanation she just went along feeling the same way. She treats him like total cr*p and then all the sudden he loves her. Like, what?! There was no depth to either character. I wanted to like Mako, but he was just as dumb as River and I found myself literally zoning out during his chapters they were so boring. The only good thing about this book is the narrators are good. Potential spoilers ahead... Mako doesn't tell River her sl**ze of an ab*sive boyfriend is che*ting on her constantly and when it's discovered and she asks why he didn't tell her sooner, his answer was that his main concern was her safety so he was focusing on that first and foremost. Ugh.... are STD's not a safety concern or...? Some are deadly, how is that not a safety concern? That can be just as unsafe as the ab*se. Especially, considering he gave his last girlfriend a disease; thankfully that one was curable but that's not always the case. Duhhh. But, River just accepts this explanation for his reasoning like the dimwit she is. Then, the Serial K*ller literally knows River and has almost be*t her to de*th on multiple occasions, yet because Mako is upset after he finds out who the k*ller is and River didn't tell him sooner, he leaves her alone in a big house by herself for several days right after the info is released without checking on her. Clearly the k*ller is going to know or find out who exposed him and go after them (River), who he's always after anyway, yet the "Da*n good detective" as he calls himself, doesn't think twice about it or consider the danger of leaving her by herself. What a moron. River was no smarter, she constantly put herself in dangerous situations like going back to collect rent money she didn't need from her mom that she couldn't stand, knowing that Billy could be there and has shown up many times in the past. I understand your mental state is different during an ab*sive relationship, but River was annoying where in her head she'd act like she hated Ryan but then the first half decent thing he'd do she was right back to loving him so much. No matter how bad her hurt her. This happened over and over and over and over again. Again, I understand mental state is different but as this was written she would act so tough in her head and like she was so bad*ss and didn't need saving, then fawn over the creep the next minute. And she'd call him "sweet Ryan" which was dumb and annoying. There wasn't anything about her character that was likeable and there really wasn't any growth. The whole book was literally her getting hit in the head and seeing stars or blacking out and her getting SA'd. Like no joke, the whole book she was r*ped by multiple people every chapter. So much so, the plot is lost multiple times throughout the book. And, if a real person had as many head wounds as River sustained during this book, they probably wouldn't be alive, at the very least they wouldn't be normal anymore. Maybe that's why she was so dumb?.. I also didn't feel she got her revenge on Ryan or Billy. Ryan wasn't in the least bit scared of her at any point and Billy di*d too quickly and simply. I bought Are You Hurt and Where's Molly in paperback at the same time I bought this on audible. After this book, I really hope those are better and I didn't waste my money. I'm not sure how the same person wrote this as Haunting Adeline. To each their own obviously, other people might like this book, but I definitely didn't and it's not one I'd ever recommend to any of my friends. For me, it was a huge letdown and waste of time.

I loved this book. I don't always love Rom Coms and didn't really know if I was in the mood for one, but this one was so good. It was light and had excellent humor. There was some angst, but not too heavy where you're way stressed out about it. I liked both MC's; there was a period where I thought the guy was a d*ck, but you get over it pretty quickly as his character grows. It seems like there are a lot of the Fake Boyfriend/Fake Fiance trope type books and sometimes they can just seem so similar, but this one had enough differences to not make you feel like you've already read it before. I really love the grumpy/sunshine pairing when it's done right and this one certainly was; it's so great to watch a serious/somewhat unhappy person open up with someone that's just a total hoot or wild card. This book has exactly that. Lottie was so fun; I would love a friend like her. I know Huxley was trying to remain professional and was just a grumpy guy, but there were parts I couldn't believe he wasn't dying laughing. I would have been. Later though, when he starts opening up, he does start showing how much he enjoys her humor. His dry humor is actually really funny too.
The narrators were perfect. Wouldn't have changed a thing. They portrayed the parts and scenes so well and really made you feel it. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend this to friends if they were interested in Romance books.

What happened with this one?
Reviewed: 02-26-24
I'm not even sure what to say about this. I think I'd maybe give it a 2.5/5. It's almost like this book was written by a different author or something. I absolutely loved every single thing about the first two books in the series. I also thought Jasper would be really cool and looked forward to his book. Sadly, this was just terrible. I didn't like either MC. Sloan was way too desperate and Jasper was just too aloof. He didn't want anything to do with her other than be her friend until she was about to marry someone else; they've been good friends for 18 years. Sloan tries for him the whole time and very obviously puts herself out there at least twice and he isn't interested and then later acts like he didn't know she was interested. She was always the one to try for him, even through the book, he never really tried for her except a tiny moment towards the end. But in my mind, that was too little too late. The very moment he gives her any kind of attention, she just jumps on it. They were both idiots; Sloan was kind of pathetic, clingy and weak and Jasper was just kind of do*che. One minute they'd be saying they could talk about anything and everything and were so comfortable but after 18 years they didn't talk about the elephant in the room or what Sloans dad said? I mean, come on! And I am a fan of reading about a controlling man in the bedroom when it's written right, but in this case it just didn't fit at all. I literally cringed and felt awkward during their intimate moments; they were so awkward. I just didn't feel the chemistry. She was crazy about him but I seriously felt like through most the book he could care less about her; I just didn't feel it from him. I almost didn't finish this book and couldn't wait for it to be over so I could move on. I hate not finishing something when I purchase it. The first two books in the series were exactly opposite; they were so good I was sad when they ended. I'm not sure what happened with this one. The best parts of this book were the glimpses of the side characters that were the MC's in the previous books and Harvey. Other than that, I was extremely disappointed in this book. I wanted more for Jasper; from the previous books where we got a glimpse of him, I think he had potential to be an amazing and interesting Character and wanted to see his growth. Sadly, his book and character just fell flat.
The narrators were at least good. That probably helped me finish the book I suppose. I already bought the next two in the series on audible because I adored the first two. So, here's hoping this one was just a fluke and the next two are way better quality.

Okay, this book was just amazing. I cannot believe I hadn't read anything from this author until a few days ago. I listened to flawless before this one and didn't think I could like another book quite as much or the MC's but I was so wrong. I loved Summer and Rhett, but Willa and Cade were right there with them. Completely different personalities, but still so amazing. Willa and Cade had great humor and I loved Cade's grumpiness. Willa was just the best, I loved everything about her. If I couldn't be her I would want her as a best friend. The storyline was awesome and there was very little angst; it was more of a feel good fluffy romance and I loved it anyway. I wish Cade and Willa shoving their happiness in his ex's face would have been included in the book, but I can still kind of imagine it. That woman was a loser. Luke stole the show honestly though. The cutest kid ever and I loved his interactions with everyone. It was also nice to get glimpses of Summer and Rhett again in this one, even if they were fairly brief. The storyline for this book was very cute and well written.
The narrators were just perfect. Again, I didn't think I'd find another duo as perfect for the characters as the narrators were for Flawless, but Vanessa and Stephen were absolutely perfect for Willa and Cade. Seriously, just top of the line and fit the MC's character's so well. This book and Flawless will forever be a couple of my favorite to listen to. I've already bought the whole series in paperback, I love them so much. Great writing; these books will be very memorable for me.
