Story
Fiona, Sue, and Daisy, three retired ladies who volunteer at the local charity shop, Dogs Need Nice Homes, can’t believe their favorite customer is dead. Eighty-six-year-old Sarah Brown was found murdered in her hallway by her delivery man, a domino clutched in her hand—with a name scratched on it. When another person is found dead with a domino in their hand, and with the police making no progress, the ladies will need to help unmask a serial killer. At least they have Fiona’s scruffy-haired terrier cross to assist them.

The details were believable, the characters were realistic and a surprise at the end. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Characters, reasonable storylines

I love the characters, and the build up Of the story line. The only complaint was how the main character was shy of speaking his heart. I wanted to tell him to talk, rather than Imagining what his lady friends were thinking. But, it was heartening to see how thoughtful he was of the female character feelings.

The Serial Knitters and Happy Hookers in the store’s Craft for Calmness group have been busy creating booties and baby blankets for a christening fit for a prince. But when I stumble onto the little prince’s fatally poisoned mother, a right royal mess ensues.

Good narration. Storyline was believable and drew me along. Only heard one discrepancy that had me talking back to the narrator.

The narrator was most irritating with the over acting and vocal pitches
Reviewed: 02-01-24
The narrator was a turn off. Some stories seamed as if the narrator had some training. Others sounded very amateurish.

Story
It's early September in Glenkillen, Scotland, when American expat (and romance novelist) Eden Elliott is recruited by the local inspector to act as a special constable. Fortunately it's in name only, since not much happens in Glenkillen. For now Eden has her hands full with other things: preparing for the sheepdog trial on the MacBride farm, a fundraiser for the hospice, and helping her friend Vicki with her first yarn club skein-of-the-month deliveries. Everything seems to be going well until the head of the welcoming committee is found strangled to death with a club member's yarn.
