SEAL Team 6 became synonymous with heroism, duty, and justice. Only a handful of the elite men who make up the SEALs, the US Navy's best and bravest, survive the legendary and grueling selection process that leads to Team 6, a group so classified it technically does not even exist. There are no better warriors on Earth.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes and I have this is a great introduction to anyone who has questions about the SEAL comunity.
Who was your favorite character and why?
This book doesn't have a central character. But if I were to choose one it would be Chris Kyle or Marcus Luttrell.
What does Will Damron bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
he does a nice job reading complicated or wordy material at times and he changes his tone to highlight different characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No but I don't do that anyway.
Any additional comments?
It was a great book to learn about the SEALS and what they do and how they are made.

Story
Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell returned from his star-crossed mission in Afghanistan with his bones shattered and his heart broken. So many had given their lives to save him-and he would have readily done the same for them. As he recuperated, he wondered why he and others, from America's founding to today, had been willing to sacrifice everything-including themselves-for the sake of family, nation, and freedom.

Great follow up to Lone Survivor
Reviewed: 11-17-15
What made the experience of listening to Service the most enjoyable?
Following up with more information about the Lone Survivor book.
What other book might you compare Service to and why?
I have listened to several of the NAvy Seal books all have points that are great so for me there isn't one single book to compare.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When the character Gularb came to the U.S. to visit. Also what the Seal team members are willing to do for their brothers without question.
Any additional comments?
I suggest reading/ listening to Lone Survivor first. There are many refrences to it is this book. it was good to hear about what many of the other branches of service do as well. It also sheds a little light on what the wives and childeren of the soldiers give up. Considering the amount of time the Seals dedicate to training and actual operations.

The book was very good overall. I really enjoyed learning about many of the different schools that seals can attend.
