Sorry... Really? Thrust? Anyway, Danny Kendrick was a down-on-his luck performer who always struggled to find his place. He certainly never wanted to be a hero. He just hoped to earn a living doing what he loved. That all changes when he pisses off the wrong guy and gets sucked into a fantasy realm straight out of a Renaissance Fair. Getting used to a new world is tough. It's even tougher when you're surrounded by axe-wielding barbarians, super hot elf assassins, strange magic, and a jaded System that doesn't appear interested in being charged with yet another companion.

While progression was a bit slow it was still pretty funny throughout the whole book. Hopefully the main characters intelligence points take more affect next book. Still would recommend 100%.

Well done and narrated. It could have used something to break up the history book tediousness though.

A great story that's well written and nararrated. I only had a few small issues with the protagonist being kinda immature at times and the deep math dive into skills at times but I was well entertained the whole time, so overall pretty good.

Thanks to a series of unfortunate events - and one backstabbing frenemy - home is exactly where I'm headed. Back to Winterspell Lake, where magic runs rampant and humans are outlawed. Faster than you can say hocus pocus I'm unpacking my bags and settling into the guest room of my parents' house, trying to ignore the creeping sensation that I'll never break free again. The one thing Winterspell has going for it is the sweets shop in the center of town, a bakery filled with magical creations designed to enchant the taste buds and charm even the pickiest of connoisseurs.

It's a romantic comedy without romance or comedy. It's a murder mystery without murder or mystery. I feel like someone just played the Sims and wrote it down what happened in a book.

Story
Eighteen-year-old Aidan Salt isn't a superhero. With his powerful (and unpredictable) telekinetic abilities, he could be one if he wanted to, but he doesn't. He's unambitious, selfish, and cowardly, and he doesn't want to have to deal with all the paperwork required to become a professional superhero. But since the money, fame, and women that come with wearing the cape are appealing, he decides to become the first supervillain the world has seen in more than 20 years: Apex Strike.

The narrator was great. That's about the only good thing I can say. As a cyberpunk game and anime fan, this was very lackluster to me.
