Gritty and Profound

Great listen. The reader is really good at his gig. I like this world they are building. Even though this one has a somber note to it. I really liked it. Not exactly an ex machina ending but a slow burn with under tones of romanticism. Sad but satisfying. If you’re like me? Whatever that means… you’ll really enjoy this short story.

Best Audio Play For 2023
Reviewed: 10-11-23
This is by far the best audio play for 2023. I really loved it. Lots of action. Lots of story. Lots of ex machina, usually ex machina doesn’t make sense but in a time traveling story, it’s all about the ex machina. Well thought out script, well thought out production hats off to the whole team. I really really love it. I’ve listen to hundreds maybe thousands of science fiction books. Well, scratch the thousands. I know it’s at least listened to over 300 sci-fi books and this was the best play ever produced by Audio Studios. I can’t wait for the second part of this play and the third part and the fourth part. I’m glad you guys took the time to make a high-quality product that’s enjoyable from beginning to end, and I recommended to all science-fiction fans and people who love action and detective stories and that genre with love and care, Stephen
PS I almost forgot the audio production team. What a great job I love the audio. I’ll loved all of the Foley work. It was such a delight to listen in my Sony MX-5 headset. just a fast audio play. That’s 2023 and a lot of it goes to the audio team. Oh yeah how can I skip over the actors? Duh? these guys really know what they are doing. I don’t know who the audio players were but I love them. Just a great job. Just a lot of good work. without the actors in their ability to read the way you like to hear it, this whole machine would be dead in the water A+ plus.

i thought the first book was still the best. It was more Oceans 11 then Battlestar Galactica.
Poor analogy but you’ll get what I mean.

Story
Belisarius is a quantum man, an engineered Homo quantus who fled the powerful insight of dangerously addictive quantum senses. He found a precarious balance as a con man, but when a client offers him untold wealth to move a squadron of warships across an enemy wormhole, he must embrace his birthright to even try. In fact, the job is so big that he'll need a crew built from all the new sub-branches of humanity. If he succeeds, he might trigger an interstellar war, but success might also point the way to the next step of Homo quantus evolution.

I just listened to this book again and The Quantum Magician is science fiction at it's best. All books have their flaws but the world building and character development is beyond good. It's literary craftsmanship at It's finest. It's going to make a great movie or television series one day. It's really good.

Bonfire of the Vanities
Reviewed: 05-12-19
Some of the more memorable parts were:
George Papadopoulos pub crawl thru the streets of London, (UK) when he got the conformation that Russian Military Intelligence came thru... loose lips kicked off this whole investigation. I can just see him, three sheets to the wind, saying “We did it! We got the dirt on Hillary Clinton!” What a buffoon.
My favorite quotes go something like: President Trump’s “obstruction of Justice is the ordinary garden variety kind...” Very funny. “The term collusion is a rubrix...” Then who is the rube I wonder? Haha! Very funny.
President Trump can’t recall anything about Russia. That’s a classic. Question 5: Who’s Vladimir Putin? Ans: I don’t recall. (That should have been question five).
And everybody lies! They lie to each other. They lie to the American people. They lie to the Russians. They lies to the FBI. They lied to the US Congress. It’s like no one in the core group of the Trump Administration has the ability to speak a word of truth.
It took me weeks to get thru this report. Excellent work one Robert Mueller. I love the references to all the case law. He even sites Justice Scalia. Obstruction of Justice is so laid out in black and white that a fifth grader could slow walk the case thru court. Makes one wonder...
It wouldn’t surprise me if the Trump organization launders money for the Russians via Deutsche Bank. It dances around that subject. You really have to wonder...?
