Story
I've never been in love. I've never had an orgasm, but I've faked plenty. I want to experience love. Real, passionate love. I don't want to die. It's funny what blurts out of your mouth when the plane you're on is going down, and I didn't hold back with my seat mate when my plane decided to crash. My hysterical confessions didn't faze the muscular stranger that sat beside me. In fact, he promised if we survived, he'd give me my first orgasm.

A very long book that has characters doing the dumbest stuff and being rewarded for it while other characters are completely forgotten about while random revelations are being tossed at us. entire book seems rushed and yet so long. This was not the ACOTAR continuation book we were all expecting 😔

Story
Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College-Violet included. But Threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins, and Violet’s already wondering how she’ll get through. It’s not just that it’s grueling and maliciously brutal, or even that it’s designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. It’s the new vice commandant, who’s made it his personal mission to teach Violet exactly how powerless she is–unless she betrays the man she loves.

Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile humans. They incinerate them.

Imagine if Veronica Roth, Jay Kristoff and Sarah J Maas sat down and decided to write a book together. This would be it. Great story, can't wait for the next book.
The narrator sounds like she needs to blow her nose due to severe congestion for the first 10ish chapters. it honestly was very hard to listen because I kept losing focus, changing the speed helped a lot but I really think she should be asked to rerecord those chapters.

It is as if the writer nor the narrator were trying anymore. Jumbled mess with a "prologue" that lasted over an hour. I feel let down by the ending after years of waiting and no updates from the author.

Story
If my childhood taught me anything, it was to survive. Now I have a deep-rooted mistrust of people and a wall of steel and ice surrounding my heart. So, when Reed Ryan steps into my life, I know I need to keep him far away. He’s everything I grew up hating. Fighting. Fleeing. Devastatingly handsome, he looks like a drunken regret and has heartbreak written over every inch of his body - literally. He’s the quintessential bad boy...and he’s a cop. But the man is my undoing.

The main character was a bit up and down. First she's this professional girl that looks good, wears high heels and doesn't take crap from anyone while wearing her resting b face, then she's this wet shy blanket that can't do anything herself. It was confusing and frustrating at times (maybe it's the way the narrator read it all sad and weepy). I'm still giving it a 4 because the slow love story was good and I enjoyed it overall.

This book was very much like a repeat of the previous book. disappointing and left me with a lot of questions. Honestly it feels like the author threw this thing together last minute. I wish she spent more time on the storyline and character development than everyone's inner monologues.
