Story
In 2009, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed at the Super Bowl's halftime show. The experience was so exhilarating that Bruce decided to write about it. That's how this extraordinary autobiography began. Over the past seven years, Bruce Springsteen has privately devoted himself to writing the story of his life, bringing to this audio the same honesty, humor, and originality found in his songs.

HE DIDN’T PAY HIS TAXES FOR MANY, MANY YEARS
Reviewed: 10-05-17
I really enjoyed this biography, and also Springsteen as a narrator, but when he came to feel sorry for himself when he as a young man had to pay back taxes because he had never paid any taxes I lost the “plot”. Several times through the book he mentions how much tax he is paying after he had succes. I can’t stomack it - Bruce hate paylng taxes and feeling sorry for himself big time (well, he also feel sorry for himself in many other circumstances - he is always the right guy, he wants us never to forget) then again he is doing a lot of charities and supporting politicians and presidents who are all for more equality and one of the things is that people have to share- and praise the Lord that There’s where his heart is, supporting the Democrats BUT he is way too DOUBLE STANDARDED - he Gerd praise when he speaks up for people indirekte straights and horrible unjust life circumstances, Venus a good guy we all applaud him BUT when it comes to paying taxes, then he complains, it is a very small partnof the book but it coloured further listening - Mr. Springsteen is a rolemodel to millions and millions of people and I’m sure he pays a lot of taxes and Thank You for that, but is this what he wants to teach us that paying taxes is almost a huge injustice and a Cross to bear. Well, the more I listened the more I was angry and bored too because of what he said earlier in his book. I still have more than 4 hours left - does anyone want them ;)

Story
In The Most Beautiful, a title inspired by the hit song Prince wrote about their legendary love story, Mayte Garcia for the first time shares the deeply personal story of their relationship and offers a singular perspective on the music icon and their world together: from their unconventional meeting backstage at a concert (and the long-distance romance that followed) to their fairy-tale wedding (and their groundbreaking artistic partnership) to the devastating losses that ultimately dissolved their relationship.

Story
One of five children, Pat watched as her alcoholic mother struggled to get by on charity, cons, and petty crimes. At age seven, Pat was taught to roll drunks for money. At 12, she was targeted for sex by a man eight years her senior; by 13, she was pregnant. By 15, Pat was a mother of two. Alone at 16, Pat was determined to make a better life for her children. But with no job skills and an eighth-grade education, her options were limited. She learned quickly that hustling and humor were the only tools she had to survive.
