Story
Peter Busch-McGinley is a self-employed handyman in Max City. For the last eight years, life has been a downward spiral that left him nothing to show for his pain. But that's about to change. Pete is approached by the patron deity of the Fertile Valley and Mineral Village—the self-described Harvest Goddess. She reveals his destiny as her chosen one, which obviously throws him for a loop. As shocking as that is, it isn't nearly as surprising as what his childhood friend, Queenie Luna, reveals to him.

Aurora is my MVP here. Whoever came up with the moaning track idea deserves a cookie.
The story is good, the parts with Kylie are a real gut punch, in a good way. Cannot wait for book 2.

Story
The first integration was just the start for Earth. As we grappled with the aftermath of the first integration, a new, more daunting phase began. The System had unveiled additional shards, each a victorious fragment of a broken civilization, survivors and conquerors just like us. These battle-hardened and desperate people are determined to win, and pose a threat unlike any we've faced so far. Meanwhile, the lifeline between Crownhill and Themyscira hangs in the balance. Elder Thalassa still holds a grudge against me, and without her mother, Cyra won't have the sway to keep her at bay.

Jason Drake's life ended when a drunk driver killed his family and ruined his dream of playing pro football. Ten years later, death finally claimed him. When a goddess offered him a second chance, he took it without hesitation, finding himself restored to his prime in a fantasy world. Wonderfully performed and a good story
Reviewed: 12-24-24
First, let me see that raya Kane was an amazing choice for the solo female narrator. She has a great range of voices, can do a good male voice, and really lends the erotic oomph to those sexy scenes and characters.
I enjoyed the setting and the different characters. if I have to lay a criticism I only have two really.
One, Jason being a former athlete and relating everything back to sports is something I cannot relate to and probably most of your readership are the same. The idea that the Jock got an Isekai afterlife really grinds my gears.
The second is Syndi, I enjoy her character and dynamic greatly as I love the domme drow archetype and enjoy the way she calls Jason "Male". The downside for me was their first scene where we find out...
(Spoilers ahead)
..that she is used to high priced giggalos and to be able to even keep up with her he has to get a magic boon from a goddess. Like. really? was that necessary? It's one thing to realize in the back of your mind that being as old as she is, she probably has a sexual past, but to throw it in the readers face and make the Mc need magic to keep up to her standards paints Syndi in a bad light and I think will ruin her for a lot of readers beyond her personality.
Again, I enjoy a dark elf Domme mommy and can see the hints of care beyond the front she puts on, but I'm already a fan and enjoy the Tsundere archetype as well (looking at you little lioness) so I'm not the one you ha e to win over.
but yes, I am picking up what your putting down, I enjoyed this book immensely and can't wait for a follow up.

Story
Chuck didn't expect to be retired by the time he was thirty. That was just how life had worked out. He'd had his fair share of adventures, put together a decent bankroll while working in the oil fields of northern Canada, and escaped with an injury that hadn't crippled him too badly. All he wants is to build a bit more money before buying himself a secluded cottage and deciding how to fulfill the rest of his life.

A wonderful little Slice of Life harem story.
Reviewed: 12-19-24
I know what your thinking, "A harem story about bowling?"
But it works. The bowling aspect doesn't really come in until the later half of the book as we spend time getting to know the setting, the protagonist, and all the lovely ladies who drop into his life.
if your looking for a low stakes slice of Life story with bits of action and heaps of sexual tension, look no further.
Be warned like his other novels, the author doesn't shy away from the girl on girl love triangle but it really works in context.
The story was performed wonderfully by the ever talented Erin Bateman who knows how to build tension and deliver on said tension like a pro.
I very much am looking forward to more!

I satisfying ending to a great series
Reviewed: 11-18-24
there's so much about this series that I love and so little that I dislike and it's not even worth mentioning. I think KD did a great job with everything. all the characters were super memorable, even eight books in and where he chose to end things was just a perfect little cherry on top with a little bit of a stinger. maybe years down the way. we'll go back to this world and see what's become of it.
Stephanie did a amazing job. she is clearly one of the most talented voice actresses out there and you can tell she's had fun with all these characters throughout the years.
I greatly look forward to what comes next for both of them.

Story
Nathan's preparations will be tested, as this war will be won with ancient spells and forbidden magic, not sword and bow. He'll need to gather his battered allies and utilize every trick and spell he's learned to keep the war from spiraling out of control. Storm clouds loom in the east, however. Civil war brews in the joint republic of faeries and elves, and someone or something is fanning the flames. Nathan finds himself playing both general and peacemaker.

Reviewed: 09-14-24
I really enjoyed the series, the ups and downs of it and I thought the narrators were really good but it didn't feel like it had a conclusion. it didn't feel like there was a concise ending. just kind of a nebulous "and then things happened."
there needs to be another book. this can't be the ending.

Loved it!
As you can tell, this isn't your normal haremlit novel but long as you're okay with girls kissing girls, (and harem girls loving each other), you'll like the story.
I am suuuuper interested about the next chapter, and want to see how Christine fits into it all as there is going to need to be some heavy lifting narrative wise.
"Another hand touches the beacon!" had me rolling.
Wonderful job by the Narrators, they did suuuuch a excellent job. So much emotional lines and so well delivered.
I loved that the female narrator was the primary, it would have felt weird otherwise.
