Story
London, 1922. Between gallivanting in his Rolls-Royce and darkening the doorways of London's hotspots, Lord Reginald "Rex" Bankes-Fernsby has almost succeeded in banishing the battlefield nightmares that plague his sleep. Pity he can't say the same about that nagging lack of direction in his life. If only he were like his best friend Freddie—self-assured, suave, and up to his ears in secrets. But when Freddie is murdered, Rex doubts the verdict. Was Freddie really cut down while up to no good, or was he killed in the line of duty?

Great New Series!
Reviewed: 12-21-23
I have been waiting for this book to be released in Audio. There was so much chatter about the ebook when it was released. I had read other books by Lynn Morrison so I new it was going to be good. The descriptions of the time period, the clothes and the setting in London are so true to life its easy to picture. I was captivated from the first page to the last.
It may make more sense to read the novella first. It will give you a background of what Rex was going through. I love Pearl Hewitt's narration. She really brings the characters to life!

Leave it to Jinx to get sidetracked! Jinx is supposed to be meeting Emory's court to prove she would be acceptable as his mate.
But someone kidnapped a Centaur. How could Jinx not try to find him?
And of course nothing is the way it is supposed to.
Heather is a master at keeping you on the edge of your seat! I can't stop reading her books!
Alyse Gibbs is brilliant at defining each and every character, She is a great narrator.

Good Book First in series
Reviewed: 11-02-23
This author is new to me.
I very much enjoyed this new first in series mystery.
This story take place in the late 19th century. The characters are well developed and the story line is out of the usual historical romance/history. The focus is on the mystery.
Tabitha is a very strong heroine and she can match Wolf in every way.
If you enjoy in depth mysteries you will enjoy this one. I was captivated until the very end!
There are triggers. Particularly about children.
This book was an ARC and this is my honest review.

Story
The beat. The cheers. The thrill of the unknown. I shouldn’t leave the safety of the music arena—my last name is McKallister, after all, and I’m intimately familiar with worst-case scenarios. But I’m drawn by the talent and the turmoil behind the weary eyes of the drummer on the streets. I’ve never seen anyone my age as wild and unrestrained, a lightning bolt of electricity that never hits the same spot on his bucket drums twice. He plays with such confidence, such rage. I have to know who he is and where he learned to bang out drum solos like he owns the night. I want to help him.

Jill you did it again. This is the best series I have ever read!! Grace Note was so worth waiting for. I laughed, I cried, I rejoiced!
Grace and Rory are wonderful characters. So sad that there are kids living like this in these times. No child should have to go through what Rory went through.
Brilliant ending! Can't wait to read Michelle and Scott's book!!
Keep on keeping on!!

I very much enjoyed this book. A hockey player single dad hires a model for a nanny.
This was not a surprise pregnancy. The model falls for the baby then the dad.
Great dialogue. No angst. Just love.
The narrators were terrific. Scott Rose had a perfect French Canadian accent as did Paige when needed for the mom.

Story
Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end. He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.
