Story
Cdr. Richard Jadick's story is one of the most extraordinary to come out of the war in Iraq. At 38, the last place the Navy doctor was expected to be was on the front lines. He was too old to be called up, but not too old to volunteer. In November 2004, with the military reeling from an acute doctor shortage, Jadick chose to accompany the First Battalion, Eighth Marine Regiment (the "1/8") to Iraq.

Great book about a historic event.
Reviewed: 10-16-22
Jadik's perspective of such an important event is eye opening and refreshing. The men and women of the hospital Corp are many of the unsung heroes of war tasked with a daunting, difficult job. They are forced to carry the psychological burden of death and war with them for the rest of their lives. This book does a great job of capturing the struggles, but also the amazing commitment and sacrifice. No doubt this book will also provide some closure for families of the fallen and help those carrying the physical and mental scars to process and heal. The narrator did a great job, but I prefer the author's voice.

This 3rd person account of Gravy's amazing career in the elite Special Operations Aviation Regiment is both inspiring, harrowing, sad, but more than anything left me with the overwhelming feeling of thankfulness that warriors like Greg Coker are willing to sacrifice so much, and dedicate their lives to perfection, all to defend our amazing nation, and for their brothers in arms. We Americans owe everything to warriors like Chief Coker and the warriors of the United States Military.

Story
From June 1967 to June 1968, Tom Johnson accumulated an astonishing 1,600 flying hours piloting the UH-1 "Iroquois" - better known as the "Huey" - as part of the famous First Air Cavalry Division. His battalion was one of the most decorated units of the Vietnam War, and helped redefine modern warfare. Johnson's riveting memoir takes us into key battles and rescue missions, including those for Hue and Khe Sanh. In harrowing detail, he tells of being shot down in the battle of A Shau Valley, of surviving enemy attacks during the Tet Offensive, and of a death-defying nighttime river rescue.

Story
You might think you know what happened in the tragic shooting of Breonna Taylor, but no one knows that better than the lead officer on the scene, Sergeant John Mattingly. However, with the full support of the mainstream media, "Black Lives Matter" activists and other leftist groups immediately pounced on the tragedy, exploiting Breonna's death and twisting the story—in some cases, telling outright lies—to bolster a shameful “All Cops Are Bastards" narrative and radical “Defund the Police" agenda.

The mighty, iconic A-10 Warthog was first thrust into battle in Operation Desert Storm. The men who took it through walls of flak and surface-to-air missiles to help defeat the world's fourth-largest army were as untested as their airplanes, so they relied on personal determination and the amazing A-10 to accomplish their missions, despite the odds.

This book was superbly researched and well written. Whether intentional or otherwise, this book clearly proves with evidence how corrupt and dishonest our politicians have become, but even more frightening, how corrupt and political our, supposedly “Apolitical” government officials have become. Additionally, this book exposes the deep leftist bias in the media, undermining objectivity and truth.
