God tier voice acting. ok story suffering from tmi
Reviewed: 06-03-20
To start off with Nick podehl as always, is a voice acting God.
the beginning of the story is bloody fantastic. but intermittently throughout the story as the MC get stronger & or learns new things, instead of technobabble from a Sci-Fi story this tail suffer from magicbabble. ( while technobabble is normally not understandable in this story it is, but there is a LOT of it.)
Normally I don't mind that it's really fascinating and it adds depth to the world. However there's so much of it that it hinders the story progression because of how much time is spent on explaining the mechanics behind the magic.
So many times throughout this story I found find myself saying can we please move the story forward and I have never once said that about a book.
An yes while in-depth explanations about how things work/choices made are all throughout the series in no small amounts. it's so prominent in this particular book that almost half of the book is the magic equivalent of technobabble and I find that endlessly vexing. if the book had just more story progression it would have been fantastic but it's hindered by the endless details that while fascinating don't feel necessary.
final thoughts- overall I enjoyed the store but I feel as though I'm missing story because of how much magicbabble there is. An Nick podehl voice acting made this story much more entertaining just because of how much he brings to the table.

Virtual Dive technology is coming out of the workplace and into homes. Nigmus Online is the first MMO to use this new device. The only caveat to the game: There is no manual. The only instruction the player gets is how to interact with the user interface. That's it. Nobody is going to hold their hand or give out rare items. Players begin life as a level-zero commoner. It's entirely up to them what class they become.

First off the voice actors were bloody phenomenal. besides for 2 nameless characters all of the voice is in this story were top-notch.
over all story is good. there are a crap ton of Lit-Rpg story's and I'd say this one while not the best is definitely well above average and well worth your time. if you like fun characters solid action and clever tricks your enjoy this.

The voice actors did a fantastic job. you can tell they had some fun making this one.
As for the story the opening is fairly good, you will get bogged down sadly by a hefty info dump afterwards but after the story kicks of and is vary entering.
This is one of those books where things don't always go according to plan. but it's because of poor character choices not bad writing and I really like that.
last friendly heads up it's a post-apocalypse book lots of people are going to die, nothing's particularly graphic but keep that in mind.

The story is overall good, with some fantastic laughs. But there are a few really unexpectedly dark spots that will catch you off gaurd. An a few moments where your gonna say "wtf were you thinking girl."
if you like Lit-Rpg I would whole heartily recommend this book. if you like wity characters, action and badass characters your enjoy this. or if you just want a good bloody laugh this is worth it.

Story
Joe has started to draw attention to himself and his abilities. While some of the attention is good and allows for personal growth, most of it is from various organizations that feel threatened by the sudden upswing of power that Joe's guild - The Wanderers - is attaining. As the threat to Earth begins to reach its peak, all of humanity has a choice: flee to Eternium, or stay for an uncertain future. Some stay, some go, some don't make the choice quickly enough.

whole story is about Frank, and developing him as a character and is extremely well done.this book has a cast of new characters introduced that are all fun and believable, the location is very nice. Frank's advancement both his in game character and as a person will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling inside your chest.
the only cons about this book is the voice actor definitely needs to practice his female voices a bit more, they're not bad they just need work. but he does such a good job on everything else that it is just a minor negative.

In a world where evil won and darkness has become the new God how do you fight back? is it even wise too fight back. this book answers that question so much more!
the world is grim, dark, depression, and believable. An so full of detail it's easy to imagine everything the narrator saying.
it's got action, drama, political intrigue, romance! character development for days! The voice acting is bloody majestic. Every characters voice is so packed full of character it's amazing. and no voice sounds similar to another so it makes it easy to identify who is talking.
anyone with even a passing interest in fantasy I would highly recommend this book too. if you have a credit it's a must pick up, it's on sale get it!
