I have read and reread this book countless times over the years since it was first published. To have it in audio form is to feel like I’m listening to a dharma Talk. Like all of Buddhist teachings it takes time I understand such a simple message.

Story
A Course in Miracles (ACIM) - the self-study spiritual-thought system that teaches the way to love and forgiveness - has captivated the minds and captured the hearts of millions of people. Delivering inner peace where fear and pain once prevailed, its universal message is unsurpassed in its power to heal. Yet many students report that they have difficulty grasping the principles or keeping up with the lessons. So even while they yearn for the spiritual freedom the course offers, they put the book aside, hoping to get to it one day.

Reviewed: 03-16-20
I greatly appreciate Alan’s honesty about how difficult it was for him being raised one religion and finding wisdom in others, a path I have also trod. He is a masterful storyteller, able to convey difficult to understand philosophical and spiritual concepts to terms we can all relate to. I have since bought the ACIM Combined Volume and have been working through it. I find some of the teachings to be very close to those of the Buddha.
Give it a listen with an open mind, move away from fear and towards LOVE 💕

Dish up the red meat, eggs, and whole milk! In this well-researched and captivating narrative, veteran food writer Nina Teicholz proves how everything we've been told about fat is wrong. For decades, Americans have cut back on red meat and dairy products full of "bad" saturated fats. We obediently complied with nutritional guidelines to eat "heart healthy" fats found in olive oil, fish, and nuts, and followed a Mediterranean diet heavy on fruits, vegetables, and grains. Yet the nation's health has declined. What is going on?

I love books, audiobooks that is, that are read by the author, especially when they autobiographical. I’m not sure how I came across this book, but I’m glad I did. I listen to it in the course of just a few days, sometimes findIng I could relate, at other times feeling insignificant. I would recommend this book to just about anyone, stick with it to the end, it’s definitely worth.
