Story
In this rich new audio production, acclaimed British American actress Rebecca Hall brings one of E. M. Forster's most admired works to life in this classic tale of human struggle. A charming young Englishwoman, Lucy Honeychurch, is wooed by both free-spirited George Emerson and wealthy Cecil Vyse while vacationing in Italy. Though attracted to George, Lucy becomes engaged to Cecil despite twice turning down his proposals. On hearing of the news, George confesses his love, leaving Lucy torn between marrying the more socially acceptable Cecil or George, the man she knows would bring her true happiness. Should Lucy choose social acceptance or true love?

Story
Many of us feel trapped in a grind of constant change: rolling news cycles, the chatter of social media, our families split along partisan lines. We feel fearful and tired, on edge in our bodies, not quite knowing what has us perpetually depleted. For Katherine May, this low hum of fatigue and anxiety made her wonder what she was missing. Could there be a different way to relate to the world, one that would allow her to feel more rested and at ease, even as seismic changes unfold on the planet?

This was the first work I listened to by Katherine May. Some other reviews noted it fell short from her other work, but I loved it.
Found myself meditating on her stories and pondering where enchantment has been hiding in my life.
Definitely recommend!

Story
Josephine's life story was as turbulent as the age, an era of revolution and social upheaval, of the guillotine and of frenzied hedonism. With telling psychological depth and compelling literary grace, Carolly Erickson brings the complex, charming, ever resilient Josephine to life in this memorable portrait, one that carries the reader from the sensual richness of her childhood in the tropics to her final lonely days at Malmaison.

Every single chapter of this book gave me an unexpected insight - I felt like I was having “ah-ha” moment after “ah-ha” moment. Whether it was helping me understand why I feel and act the way I do when under stress OR explaining why the world is the way it is today….I enjoyed the stories that brought life to the research that was meticulously distilled for the reader and of course loved the frazzle-hacks. This is one of those books you could listen to over and over and find a new nugget of wisdom each time. If you’ve got Frazzlebrain (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t?) you need this book.
