Written in searing prose, Sofia Ali-Khan has provided what is destined to become the standard reference for the Muslim American experience in America. Detailing her own experiences growing up in the US and those of her family members, she powerfully describes the plight of a community, besieged by anti-Muslim hatred, prejudice and even violence. This is a side of the American dream few have dared recount and one that deserves careful reading by all those concerned about racism and exclusion in this country.

The narrator Kelsey Jaffer provides a sensitive and moving interpretation of the work.

This is the French version of Flowers for Algernon. The narrator is absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this to French speakers and those learning French

Magnificent production! Pierre Boulle was a great writer. This novel and the Bridge on the River Kwai were his two masterpieces. The plot is incredible, the narration superb! Highly recommended.

I love Agatha Christie, and I have great admiration for Kenneth Branagh— but this recording was painful to listen to. Branagh’s interpretation of the female voice, particularly that of the central female character, Linnet Ridgeway, was absolutely atrocious. For a better listening experience, I would stick with the fabulous performance by David Suchet.

This audible book almost took my breath away. It’s the most inspiring book I’ve ever heard. The narrator is perfect, the story sublime. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars!

This book is nothing less than a masterpiece, and the reader was phenomenal. There is some extreme violence which I found a little hard to take, but as a whole, the book is an amazing novel about insanity, about justice, war and illusion.

This moving novel comes to life through the voice of this acclaimed actress. I cannot imagine anyone else -- French or English -- interpreting the text with such depth of feeling as Marie-Christine Barrault.
