Very Imaginative!

I love the way this writer creates a hidden world of beasts, beauty and brave characters. Great escapism. The only drawback is the story seems to be geared towards young adults. It's still good storytelling. Narration was perfect.

I love Aticus Priest and his independent way of investigating the bad guys. The narration makes it even better. Mark Dawson is one of my favorite writers and I'm really looking forward to the next book.

Humanity is a dying breed, utterly reliant on artificial labor and service. When a domesticated robot gets a nasty little idea downloaded into its core programming, they murder their owner. The robot discovers they can also do something else they never did before: They can run away. Fleeing the household they enter a wider world they never knew existed, where the age-old hierarchy of humans at the top is disintegrating into ruins and an entire robot ecosystem devoted to human wellbeing is having to find a new purpose.

This is a brilliant story of robots, humans, and their existential crisis after the apocalypse. It's entertaining and mind bending all at once. A few tedious ramblings here and there, but overall, excellent. The narration was the best I've heard. Totally recommend.

Story
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

I absolutely loved the previous 4 books. I did not enjoy this one at all. I made myself finish. It was so confusing...meandering thru convoluted storyline after storyline. The dragons seemed liked filler. I did not like this installment. It was just a bridge to the next book, as opposed to a stand alone tale. So disappointed. Narration was great, as always.

Story
An old friend's sister disappears without a trace. There's no sign of foul play, but she'd been acting very peculiarly. Meanwhile, Liz's cousin, Christie, comes to stay. She takes an immediate - and uncharacteristic - dislike to the local bookshop owner, Gina. Why does everyone put up with her awful behavior? Christie is convinced that Gina is manipulating everyone around her. Is she onto something dangerous or just pushing her new friends away? No one believes her suspicions until another friend goes missing late at night on the misty Fen marshes.

Detective Matt Ballard may have retired but there's still plenty going on in the fens to keep him busy. Someone trashes an old lady's garden and daubs her isolated cottage with hateful graffiti. Sometimes I really liked this book, and other times I hated it. Will was such a sap, but in the end he surprised me. Kate was easily hated, but also deeply troubled. Sophie's powers were never really explored...just left to the imagination. Narration was just wack..Hopefully the next book will be better.
