Story
Not long ago, NSLICE-00P—short for Non-Standard Leashed-Intelligence Cybernetic Enforcer—performed her job with cold, calculated, merciless obedience. When she was ordered to destroy something, it got seriously destroyed. Unfortunately, that led her to take out her own creator before he created her, casting the cyborg out of her reality and into a world of magic, levels, and skills, with her very own dungeon core and no one to tell her what to do. As it turned out, fate put NSLICE-00P in the right place at the right time: she's become a legit heroine in this new existence.

Story
It’s hard to be a drunken idiot when the world keeps burning down around you. Cairn, the charming-yet-utterly-irresponsible heir to the Uskarrion throne, is all too happy to toss the crown aside. But an invasion, conspiracy, and rise of a terrifying villain result in his untimely death. Then, Cairn reawakens. It's a decade earlier, and he's in his childhood body. But he remembers everything...there's much to accomplish. First, however, he'd really love to stop himself from dying.

Story
Jason arrives at a kingdom in peril and he's surprised to discover that it's not his job to save it. With the authorities fulfilling their responsibilities (for once), he looks forward to some quiet time to rest and recuperate. The locals might not find ceaseless monster onslaughts and an interdimensional invasion relaxing, but Jason has had a rough few years. He's doing his best to let go of his anger. While his team is caught up in duty, Jason has no shortage of people looking to interfere with his rest. Enemies—old and new—are circling, and even would-be allies are trouble.

I'm glad he didn't make it a clean ending
Reviewed: 12-20-20
In the last book Alanson could've said "and they lived happily ever after" and had this be a wrap up epilogue. I 'm happily he didn't do that though. The war has been going on for thousands of years and if he said welp thats it wars over then i would have been very dissatisfied. He is making parallels to our own history with the cold war and it is absolutely believable the way events are unfolding if this were reality. Yes they still do crazy awesome things and skippy is still displaying his awesomeness for the galaxy to see. there is a but there though and I love that Alanson is including that as well. No matter how awesome or brilliant someone is, they do have a limit. I'm looking forward to the next book as well as the final mavericks book.

pretty good

Great characters with a moderately interesting story that made it a little underwhelming. It's a good casual listen and easy to follow. It has some interesting subplots that tie in well with the main plotline. Don't listen though unless you've gone through the first two.

Story
If Indiana Jones lived in the X-Files era, he might bear at least a passing resemblance to Nolan Moore - a rogue archaeologist hosting a documentary series derisively dismissed by the "real" experts, but beloved by conspiracy theorists. Nolan sets out to retrace the steps of an explorer from 1909 who claimed to have discovered a mysterious cavern high up in the ancient rock of the Grand Canyon. And, for once, he may have actually found what he seeks. Then the trip takes a nasty turn, and the cave begins turning against them in mysterious ways.

Great Story with a lot of suspense
Reviewed: 10-08-18
It started off kind of slow so if you have trouble keeping attention as you start speed up the reading pace. But once the suspense starts turn it back to normal. The author builds and develop his characters well, but that isn't surprising since its a small cast. The story is pretty far out qnd you do end up with a lot of questions. However it does a great job at executing those questions and what it might all mean. If theres a sequel (highly unlikely as it wraps itself up nicely) it would have a tough time living up to the air of mystery and dread that this book accomplishes. It's a book of questions, and survival.

Story
War heroes aren't usually called out of semi-retirement and sent to the far reaches of the galaxy for a routine investigation. So when Colonel Carl Butler answers the call from an old and powerful friend, he knows it's something big - and he's not being told the whole story. A high councilor's son has gone MIA out of Cappa Base, the space station orbiting a battle-ravaged planet. The young lieutenant had been wounded and evacuated - but there's no record of him having ever arrived at hospital command.

Well thats one way to prevent a war
Reviewed: 08-03-18
The book while having a small character count, does a very good job at fleshing out these characters and is a very good military detective kind of story. There are plenty of twists, a lot of secrets and a very bloody ending. However you look at it though, R.C Bray does well to narrate Mammay's debut novel. If this is what hes starting off with I can't wait to see what he produces in the future.

Children are not supposed to rescue their parents, life is supposed to be the other way around. And rescues aren't supposed to be needed on the trip out to the new colony planet Valhalla. Slow, yes. Boring, yes. Dangerous? No, the trip is not supposed to be dangerous, never has been. When thieves attack the transport ship to steal an ancient alien artifact, and young Kaylee and her brother, Manny, are cut off from their parents, they have to stop the thieves from getting what they want.

This particular story seemed a bit toned down for the author who usually has no qualms with killing off secondary characters and occassionally main characters, but i remember reading that he write this for some of his grandchildren. regardless i liked it. the story was fun. exciting moments and you get to see two kids kick butt.
