Baz Thompson has another successful, helpful reading for those of us over 50. In a clear and concise manner, he explains what occurs to a woman and her body over time and the associated issues that can occur. He explains how fasting can help some of the issues that age can institute. I have read several other fasting books and find this one to provide a good understanding of what occurs in my body and how fasting can help.

Following his discussion and use of fasting for the past 2 months, I have found there are changes slowly occurring. I am not someone to stand on a scale everyday so I do not know actual weight loss but I do know that I am more comfortable in my clothes. I am close to dropping down a pant size but holding off doing that for another month. I am slowing coming to a different frame of mind regarding my life especially after the COVID impact many of us have felt. I am regaining energy I did not realize I had lost.

I like that it you slip during a fasting the world will not end, just start again during the next fast. It is ok to break the fast on occasion. Using several of the exercise books that Mr. Thompson has released, I am beginning a new regime of exercise which, coupled with fasting, should improve my overall physical and mental health. I am hoping I can get my blood pressure lowered and reduce the need for that medication. That decision is dependent on my overall health, continued monitoring of the blood pressure and consultation with my physician. I am sure I will do better in my next health physical.

I listened to the audio version of this book and found the reader to be clear, diction good and reading was at a good pace.

I had read the hard copy version of Winter in Wisteria and really enjoyed it. Angela Pepper brings back earlier characters (Ethan Fong) with a twist and while Zara is leading the investigation, she includes some of the newer witches in her investigation helping them to hone their skills and become more confident in their growth. Zara is a good mentor. Most times I can figure out 'who done it' earlier than I did with this story and I loved it. Once the reveal it was obvious but, to me initially, not so much.

Tiffany Williams does another great job as narrator. Her character voices are spot on making it easy to follow along with the speakers.

I pick up my 6 yr old great nephew each morning as he's doing remote learning from my house. We enjoy listening to Foley and Friends when a new podcast is out. Length is great as it starts when he buckles in and finishes just as he logs into his zoom meeting. Trying to get his Grandma to play it for his 2 younger siblings. He raves about it so hopefully they'll be listening soon. She has her own schedule with them. Logan is more receptive to 'audio reading' thanks to Foley so we're moving on.

Zinnia embarks on a new City Hall adventure when she and her co-workers find a portal that has them traveling back in time. The author does a great tie between the current residents and the portal residents and why it's so important they change nothing as they try to get back to their own portal and time.

As a parallel series to Zara and Zoey Riddle (Wisteria Witches series), this is a great introduction to Zinnia and her life and friends in Wisteria. The story is centered on Zinnia and the mysterious death of her co-worker Annette at Town Hall. Lots of fun characters and any one of them could be the killer and using Annette's unpublished manuscript helps determine who the killer really is and why. Loved it.

Ivy, Brutus, Rafe and the other characters in this story are just a lot of fun. Ivy is lazy, Rafe is fast paced/work dedicated and Brutus just wants to feed. Love Tanya Eby and enjoyed listening to her read this series. Yeah, could have had a Brit do it (does take place in England) but Tanya has a fun way of presenting Ivy that I liked.

What did you love best about Bengal's Quest?

I've enjoyed the continuing story of the Breeds and love that old favorites appear and new characters are introduced.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I found Graeme's interaction with the Breed, Navajo and other Leaders great. Their respect for him and how he's helped them over the years is appreciated.

Least interesting is the whiny female that Lora has. Yes you had a terrible childhood, yes G left you (and you know all the good he's done over the years), yes get over yourself and get a life. This is the 3rd whiny female and it's way old now. Bring back strong women like Rachel, Dianne, Dawn, and the earlier female leads. It's been real hard to finish this book because of Cat and her whining ways.

What does Brianna Bronte bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does her characters well and makes a consistent transition between her character voices.

Would you listen to Dark Wolf again? Why?

Yes, the story line is very interesting and the 2 readers do a great job.

What did you like best about this story?

The interaction between Skyler and her friends Paul & Joseph. They have been in and out of other stories and the focus on them, how they have developed, and their friendship was a great read.

Have you listened to any of Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I've listened to both readers and they come through in this book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes - for both the story (finally) and the readers. I love having the audio so I can listen while doing my knitting or driving.
