The Kind Worth Killing Audiobook By Peter Swanson cover art

The narrators were perfect and the storyline was excellent. The characters, however flawed or because of their flaws, we likable and you found yourself rooting them on even when it was wrong. There are several twists which were very well written so that it was not only believable but tied everything well enough without being too obvious.

I was pleasantly surprised that this book I randomly plucked was not just well written and well read but darn entertaining. I found myself staying up late and squeezing in time to listen just because I was so engrossed in the story.
One of the better horror stories I've read lately with a nice twist that took me almost to the end to figure out.

Bait & Switch to the max!!

They truly used the bait & switch tactic to lure readers. I knew it would be a gore fest based on the writers; no one expects a romance movie from Torintono or Rodriguez, however I was honestly stunned by the change of genre with this book
It was a damn comedy!! Albeit dark comedy but at no time was there even a hint of a frightful scene. Sure it would keep you up at nights but it would be from either laughing or rolling your eyes not from fear or chills.
Perhaps it was the narrator who lent a more comedic twist to the story, I could see(metaphorically) how if some passages were read differently the scene would be eerie as opposed to ridiculous. However when one is so distracted by the funny thoughts streaming through one mans mind as he is tearing out the throat of another with pliers well that just reveals no narrator could make this book sound scary.
If you want a good laugh and aren't squeamish then I suggest you go for it

I caught on to her books a few years ago and was drawn to the light/dark characters...before Angie and Will came along there was Lena and Jeffrey different but the same. I physically felt Sarah's pain when her husband...well read it and find out...and I vote both Lena and Angie bite a bullet which alludes to how deeply vested a reader may become so long as you read these books.
The reader has a beautiful soothing versatile voice with great enunciation yet a flowing pace so as to not sound stilted
Def a great buy and wort your time and credit

Awesome twist great narration and finally a James Patterson book that DOESN'T include the same boring characters from his 4 different series. Especially Cross and Women's Murder Club. SOOO tired of them

The author did a great job pacing the story and creating a new twist on an old tale. A wearwolf story that was almost believable since it didn't all supernatural on us.
The narrator did an excellent job bringing the story to life

As a fan of Christie, Doyle and Bowen I was hard pressed to find period English mysteries until now.
The characters are lovable without being too cookie cutter...the narrator is perfect and the stories are great. I love that I hear familiar names of posh families and famous places.

The perfect tying of the 3 books It was like being with old friends at a party...a zombie killing party but then again what other kind of party is there? You'll enjoy this book even as a stand alone but why wouldn't you read the other series.

Before you take my advice that this is an amazing must read novel let me give you some background here: I've read and listened to well over 3,000 books in my lifetime (not including mandatory book readings during my 18 yrs of schooling and 7 of teaching) I am only interested in fiction (zero romance) However I will dabble in Christie, Patterson, Poe, King, Shakespeare, Mayberry etc sci-fi to horror detective to mysteries classics to pulp fiction
So when I say this is one of THE best books I've read I do not say so without having had an a broad array of others to compare it with in various genres. You won't regret it
The story, the characters, the writing style and the narrator are perfect. I want so badly to watch the movie...I'm off now to search for it with English subtitles. Enjoy it
