A Must Read to Understand the Growing Wealth Gap

Putnam did a great job explaining how in the 1950s everybody had similar opportunities, but how recent developments have focused opportunities for Success on the children of wealthy kids. it's very telling about the causes of the continued loss and lack of opportunities for poorer kids to achieve success in life.

Some have commented that's only if progressives would understand the issues of this book. I agree, because only progressives actually want to improve upon the situation and the issues we have in this country. Others choose to try to maintain the status quo or regress to a time where people had a lot less right and America was more business friendly (i.e. workers have no rights).

Proselytizing book presented as something else

I was recommended this book buy a Christian friend who claimed it showed the true beliefs of Christians and how they were tolerant to all others. What I heard in it had a little bit of tolerance, but a lot of intolerance an antiquated ideas describing how anyone who is not Christian is evil.
For example 'the abhorrent Mrs. Bates can be saved much easier than the good Mr. Renfro because it's not where you start but how far you go'. Because she has much more room for improvement oh, so being a good person doesn't matter it all depends on the Baseline and where you end up.
basically this book tells you God wants evil people and see students to become average and that is saving them well good people doing slightly better is Antichristlike. but then again what do you expect from a converted to are normally be most Fundamentalist who slept with his friend's mom I stayed a bachelor despite living with a woman, and married a Jew who refused to convert.
if this is true of modern-day Christians, I can see why they are a hate-filled, spiteful group that flocks to a fake God without question because he will allow them to be cruel to their fellow man and live on their own ides of superiority despite it being antithetical to Jesus' real teachings.

completing this book and incorporating its Concepts into a person's everyday life is a must for so many people, each side of the political Spectrum or just the average person. Adam Grant lays out a clear guide showing what the issues are and possible remedies to dealing with very disagreeable and ignorant people.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Yes, there were some graphic and gory parts, but nothing worse than people watch on TV today or see when they play video games. Anyone who thinks this book is obscenely graphic needs to open their eyes and deal with things that are mildly uncomfortable instead of living in their bubble protected by naivete.

Very eye-opening analysis of internalized racist actions that I have been taking without my knowledge. An absolute must anybody who is truly sincere about ending racism and creating an egalitarian society where black people are not crushed under the new racism.

Despite personal views on some things, this book was motivating and sobering at the same time. it made me realize how much untapped potential people (including me) are leaving on the table.

This was more of a life story and sales pitch than a book on mastering ones self. Corey also blatantly spouts out contradictory things to try to make his personal political beliefs seem more reasonable (i.e. quoting General James Mattis to help justify the need for enhanced interrogation despite Mattis stating that he was vehemently against such things).

This is a must read if you want to begin to understand what is required of the FBI, DOJ, and US Intelligence Community if we want to maintain American democracy. The ideals set I'm this book not only describe the madness which is taking hold of DC now, but could also be applied to several scenarios in the past century.

This book is a must read for anyone who wants to know and understand the war in Vietnam. General McMasters clearly outlines and describes the deceitful, underhanded ways President Johnson, Secretary McNamara, and a silent Joint Chiefs got us into the war without approval or even informing the people of the United States or their elected representatives.
