Understanding Narcissistic Abuse, Gaslighting..
Reviewed: 12-08-22
The Narcissistic Abuse audiobook is an eye-opening look at the effects of gaslighting and complex PTSD. It's packed with information and perspectives from survivors, mental health professionals, and experts on narcissistic abuse.
One of the most important things you'll learn from this audiobook is the definition of gaslighting. This term gets thrown around a lot, but it's often misunderstood. Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse that causes someone to doubt their own sanity and memories. It's a way to control and manipulate someone into thinking they're crazy.
The audiobook is also a great resource for understanding complex PTSD. This type of trauma is caused by prolonged exposure to emotional abuse, neglect, or violence. It can be very hard to identify and can often be misdiagnosed as anxiety or depression. If you or someone you know might be suffering from complex PTSD, this audiobook could be vital in helping you get the help you need.

This audiobook is an honest look at what it's like to live with ADHD from a woman's perspective. She covers everything from dealing with anxiety and depression to staying organized and managing time. There is also a heavy focus on relationships, both romantic and platonic.
If you're looking for an audiobook that will give you a better understanding of ADHD or if you just want to hear someone's story, then I highly recommend Women With ADHD.

Codependency Recovery
Reviewed: 10-07-22
If you want to learn about codependency, especially if you're in an abusive relationship, this is a fantastic first book to read. It's simple to read and provides a thorough summary. I liked how it was said that getting free from codependency need not lead to a divorce. The part comparing caregiving with caretaking is very good. Codependency has been linked to harm to others, which I thought was a valid point.

Extremely Useful Book

I found this book to be inspiring and motivating, rather than depressing, in its discussion of parental narcissism. It's a great book for anyone looking for information on this subject. I haven't found another one as comprehensive as this one. I am very grateful for the author's writing this book, as it eventually helped me move from dwelling to recuperating. It offers unconventional and very realistic prospective recovery routes.

Something To Know About Your Sensitivity Right Now
Reviewed: 09-13-22
I now have the words and the voice to explain why I frequently get overwhelm or overstimulation thanks to this book. I sometimes feel a heaviness in my soul and am very sensitive to other people's emotions. This can be challenging and draining. HSPs frequently face problems or challenges as a result of their "overly sensitive" nature. However, the world can benefit much from our emotional and mental awareness. To learn how to deal with it and avoid using it as a justification to put off taking care of loved ones requires self-awareness and equilibrium. I discussed this with my doctors and therapist so they could better treat me.

Overthinking is a Habit
Reviewed: 09-10-22
The author provides useful explanations for understanding your feelings of self-consciousness and anxiety. Effective strategies for modifying your beliefs and way of thinking. In his eagerness to uplift and explain, he tends to wax poetic. I occasionally got confused by the detailed explanations. Those who struggle with anxiety and low self-esteem should absolutely read this book, in my opinion.
