This book is so poorly written. Even the steamy scenes made me laugh. I think this guy should probably see a doctor to treat all the fluids that "come out and land on her lower belly" (you mean drip?) Repeatedly. BEFORE anyone orgasms. Like... healthy dicks shouldn't do that. Also, any virgin who isn't at least a bit FRIGHTENED by the thought of a 10" dick the first time?

The insta-everything. They decide they're together for life within hours of meeting. And it's not even remotely believable.

Alexander Cendese does great guy voices, but in 2017, he had yet to be told that his female voices sucked hard.

So in the beginning, I felt the h was tstl. Plus she's a junior in college who wants to be a psychologist and she's taking psych 101? Did she just change her major?

I loved Mako and I have to say, Jacob Morgan hit it out of the park. But this author REALLY needs a better editor/proofreader. There are words in this book that don't mean what they think in the context. And my big pet peeve: authors who use "relish in" (wrong) instead of "revel in". The many mistakes pulled me out of the story and tainted my impression of the author overall.

This was a bit predictable but it was a sweet, short story with an HEA. Kind of like something on the Hallmark channel in December.

"hairy-archy"? really? I mean...I'm not thrilled with the writing so far either but come on. At least understand how to pronounce the vocab.

ALSO: These characters are visiting from AUSTRALIA 🦘! WHY don't they have any Aussie accents?

I liked the characters and the story. Dialogue was ok. What really annoyed me however, was the incorrect grammar. During dialogue, I understand an informal or colloquial usage, but I'm specifically referring to past tense verbs such as "had took" rather than "had taken". I am unlikely to listen to other books by this author.

I wish there was a way in audible to mark authors as "must read" or "never buy anything they write because their entire catalog is comprised of cliff hangers or advertisements for books disguised as a novella". Guess which category Helena Hunter falls into? Yeah, she's not a bad writer, but come on don't make me pay once for the 1 hour ad for the book and then three more times to get the whole story. it's a fucking rip off and you know it. I'm done. I don't care enough about this spineless woman and her tattoo artist to spend another $20 to see how it all works out.

Wasn't a huge fan of the narrators and there wasn't anything particularly engaging in the story. I didn't find it all that unique, nor did it build the romance. Basically, if you like the combo of Virgin at nearly 30, abandoned super-precocious child needing care, grumpy H who is generally nice to the h, Very little drama, little tension, little chemistry stories, then this one's for you.

First off...the narration was unreal. Sean Crisden always does a great job but Jo Raylan was PHENOMENAL with this. I will be looking for more from her.

The book. There are definitely parts that are difficult to listen to but wow. What a story about inner strength, resilience and the power of love from a good person.

I don't care about the characters, which is good I guess because this is a stupid cliffhanger. Even though I wasted one credit, I don't have any desire to listen to book 2

I enjoy spicy books as much as the next gal, but this was non-consensual non-stop sex with a side of an inconsequential mystery. Add in a bunch of mis-used words and...I have no words. I don't care about these characters. Even if they do get an HEA in the other half of the cliffhanger, it'll be an f'd up dysfunctional relationship with abusive overtones labeled as "love". These people don't need each other. They need therapy. And a vocabulary that no longer includes the word "relished". Especially when it's constantly being used in place of the correct word: reveled. Forward and toward do not need an S on the end. This is the first and LAST book by H D Carlton I will ever read.
