LOVE these books up to now. This one was so slow, characters boring and dialogue between the "new" team quite frankly was so painfully trite. I had to back up and relisten over and over. Snooze.
My LEAST favorite thing was how they drug out WHAT kind of creature Chloe was. Piece here, bit there, by the end I can't tell you what she is not what she tries to hold back from coming out etc etc. The reader was ok but the story was WAY BELOW the quality I have learned to enjoy in both series.

Author created some interesting characters but original story line much better. The amount of sappy high school love interaction between lead character and his gal made me almost stop reading this book. Ends blaa .

Good Story Line
Reviewed: 01-09-22
Reader makes Luke Stone sound too whiney. Likewise the storyline of his wife is just awful. Hanging up, childishly acting not like the wife in later book. these 2 things detract from this book. big fan of L. Stone and read all of the book.
