Intriguing historical fiction with magic

I really enjoyed this story and am excited to read the second book. The characters are likeable, flawed and realistic people who you grow to care about throughout the book.
The narrator is one of my favorites (read Scorpio Races if you haven't already!) and I knew she would do the story justice.

Story
While the world seems to be in love with the idea of tiny houses and minimalism, many of us simply can't purge it all and start from nothing. Yet a home with too much stuff is difficult to maintain, so where do we begin? Add in paralyzing emotional attachments and constant life challenges, and it can feel almost impossible to make real decluttering progress.

I'm a big fan of Dana's podcast, although I've only started listening in the last few months. I finally felt like someone "got me", who could address the problems I have. This book isn't for everyone, but if your home is chronically cluttered then it may help.

In the climax of the Traitor Son Cycle, the allied armies of the Wild and the Kingdoms of men and women must face Ash for control of the gates to the hermetical universe, and for control of their own destinies. But exhaustion, treachery, and time may all prove deadlier enemies. In Alba, Queen Desiderata struggles to rebuild her kingdom wrecked by a year of civil war, even as the Autumn battles are fought in the west. Fantastic Ending to An Amazing Series
Reviewed: 11-09-17
If you're unfamiliar with this epic fantasy series be forewarned it isn't for the lighthearted. It's also not something you can listen to while you have a million other things going on around you, kids screaming, etc.
This culmination was everything I could have asked for. Never a dull moment! And the ending was fantastic. Well done, sir!
Neil Dickson is a wonderful narrator too, he really brought the characters to life. I plan on re-reading the series immediately with a physical copy and I know I'll hear his voice the entire time.

Overall I thought this was great. If you're already familiar with the law of attraction and manifesting, then most of this won't be new to you. However, I still recommend it because of the fun and unique way it's delivered.
Jen does get slightly obnoxious at times, but she's so adamant and fired up about what she's delivering that I quickly got over it. Also if swear words make you uncomfortable, move along.

Story
Seven stories of passion and love separated by centuries but mysteriously intertwined - this is a tale of horror and beauty, tenderness and sacrifice. An archaeologist who unearths a mysterious artifact, an airman who finds himself far from home, a painter, a ghost, a vampire, and a Viking: the seven stories in this compelling novel all take place on the remote Scandinavian island of Blessed where a curiously powerful plant that resembles a dragon grows. What binds these stories together? What secrets lurk beneath the surface of this idyllic countryside?

Not your traditional love story!
Reviewed: 08-23-15
This is a love story that travels backwards through time, and lives many different lives. I love any book that centers around time travel or lives connected through time, and this didn't disappoint! It isn't your traditional love story though as you will soon find out.
The narrator was great, he really brought out the characters and I thought his use of accents added to the story telling.

Language defines us as a species, placing humans head and shoulders above even the most proficient animal communicators. But it also beguiles us with its endless mysteries, allowing us to ponder why different languages emerged, why there isn't simply a single language, how languages change over time and whether that's good or bad, and how languages die out and become extinct.
