Story
Brilliantly executed and compulsively listenable, Unsheltered is the story of two families, in two centuries, who live at the corner of Sixth and Plum, as they navigate the challenges of surviving a world in the throes of major cultural shifts. In this mesmerizing story told in alternating chapters, Willa and Thatcher come to realize that though the future is uncertain, even unnerving, shelter can be found in the bonds of kindred - whether family or friends - and in the strength of the human spirit.

Another great story

This was a little different set up with bouncing back and forth between time periods, I loved it. I also love fiction when they include real historical info and characters woven into story. The characters were so developed and I related to Willa like I do with all Kingsolver's women characters they are both strong and fragile. I did't want the book to end. I also love the biology part so detailed, if more people read Kinglsolver's books we would have more people jump on enviroment band wagon before it is too late.

As usual Barbara Kingsolver's novels pull at your heart strings the characters are well developed and you can't help but root for them. I found hard to believe they were so estranged from father because of his quirks like footwear , I thought it would of been something more substantial like abuse or drinking. I love all her books bring in the flora and fauna to educate us.
