Story
It was supposed to be just another mission. Buried deep in the rugged Alaskan wilderness lies a secret that could alter the future of mankind - a secret that billionaire Elizabeth Grey has invested millions in solving. But when the dig goes silent, an elite team of battle-hardened military contractors is brought in led by former Marine Max Ahlgren. While the mission to make contact and rescue a team of scientists and engineers working on an “archeological” project seems like an easy payday, once on ground, the team discovers the grizzly truth that this is no ordinary rescue.

Wow basically a combination of John Carpenter’s The Thing and Aliens.
Right down to location and actual events in The Thing.

Story
There are no happily ever afters in the new Undead World. There are no vacations or time-outs or do-overs. There's only the endless daily grind of living or the shockingly horrific fact of death that hangs over every living creature left on the face of the earth. For some, that death lies in a single mistake or a moment of bad luck, or simply in fate. For others, that hard death hounds them day and night, relentlessly.

What would have made The Apocalypse Outcasts better?
I think the story and 99 % of the characters are great. However I couldn't stand the Jillybean character or her stuffed animal that talked to her and solved all the problems of the apocalypse. I made it through the first 2 books but here presence in this was to much for me to listen to and had to return it. Sorry Peter she killed it for me.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Great story

Story
Timothy was not a good man in life and being undead did little to improve his disposition. What will a man trapped in his own mind do to survive when he wakes up to find himself a zombie controlled by a self-aware virus?

What made the experience of listening to Timothy the most enjoyable?
Wow! Not at all what I was expecting. I have read (listened) to a bunch of zombie books but I never imagined it from this perspective. If you like first person shooter games or POV stuff this one is pretty cool. Tufo gets very dark in here! As usual Runnette keeps you in the thick of things.
What other book might you compare Timothy to and why?
Doesn't really compare to traditional zombie stories.
What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?
Sean always keeps you wanting to hear what happens next.
