I enjoyed the way the book was laid out. It wasn’t confusing to change time frames and made the book exciting. It’s a really lovely feel good story about survival and tragedy and happy ending. I did not know this author and I took a chance. I really enjoyed the book.

Story
Nearly two weeks early, on March 3, 1947, in the maternity ward of Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, Archibald Isaac Ferguson, the one and only child of Rose and Stanley Ferguson, is born. From that single beginning, Ferguson’s life will take four simultaneous and independent fictional paths. Four identical Fergusons made of the same DNA, four boys who are the same boy, go on to lead four parallel and entirely different lives. Family fortunes diverge. Athletic skills and sex lives and friendships and intellectual passions contrast.

So challenging
Reviewed: 12-13-24
It’s just too challenging on audible. Maybe in hard copy. The clue being others had to put Post-it notes throughout their book.

Four US Navy SEALS departed one clear night in early July 2005 for the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border for a reconnaissance mission. Their task was to document the activity of an al Qaeda leader rumored to have a small army in a Taliban stronghold. Five days later, only one of those Navy SEALS made it out alive. This is the story of the only survivor of Operation Redwing, SEAL team leader Marcus Luttrell, and the extraordinary firefight that led to the largest loss of life in American Navy SEAL history.

Finally, something I can rally behind that makes it easy to be sober. This book is so well written, and so bloody encouraging. Within the first two chapters of listening, I was completely committed and feel stronger than ever in my quest for total abstinence. As an American, I loved the British words and accent it made it so much more fun. Thank you for this.
