Story
Savage Marriage is the true, raw, heart-rending journey of betrayal and healing of Phil and Priscilla’s marriage. Each, from their own perspectives, and using their own voices, describe Phil’s confession of his secret betrayal that started with pornography but progressed to massage parlors, shattering their twenty-eight-year, picture-perfect marriage. Phil’s admission launched Priscilla into her own process of brokenness and self-discovery. If you are looking for healing, or you simply want to gain more spiritual, emotional, and sexual vibrancy in your marriage, Savage Marriage is for you!

I loved the rawness of this book. Although it talks about many topics Christians and others could find offensive, I believe a deeper offense is done when we live in the dark and don't talk about the things that matter. I am so glad Phil and Priscilla decided to share their story and help others. Having this book read by the authors and the others in the story really helps the authenticity and life of the story. I recommend this book to any couple who wants to learn to be real and have full intimacy in their relationship. I also think the principles of being Honest, Open, Transparent apply to every meaningful relationship in life.

Story
After an accident left him temporarily blind, Drew Carter didn't just regain his sight. He now sees what others can't imagine - an entire spiritual realm of mighty beings at war. Forget the gift, Drew just wants his life back. Part of that involves Sydney Carlyle, a woman he is inexplicably drawn to. When he's offered the chance to become a CIA agent, it seems the way to redeem his past. The only problem - his visions of the supernatural realm are increasing in frequency.

I love the way Chuck Black explores the spiritual realm and takes the reader on a journey that emotionally engages them in the outcome. The author masterfully weaves the characters and details into a gripping and exciting story. The narrator also has outdone himself in the amount of different voices that often let you know who's speaking before their name is even mentioned. I would definitely recommend this book for those wanting to learn about and start thinking more about the spiritual realm.

Story
Tragedy and heartache seem to be waiting for Drew Carter at every turn, but college offers Drew a chance to start over - until an accident during a physics experiment leaves him blind and his genius friend, Benjamin Berg, missing. As his sight miraculously returns, Drew discovers that the accident has heightened his neuron activity, giving him skills and sight beyond the normal man. When he begins to observe fierce invaders that no one else can see, he questions his own sanity, and so do others. But is he insane or do the invaders truly exist?

These tales seem to almost pull the reader into the world being described. As I listened, even having read the book before, I found myself invested, looking forward to what would come next for the characters in the story. I would recommend obtaining the physical copy, as it has a reader's guide in back to help guide in discerning which parts of the story are based on Scripture versus the author's creativity. I deeply appreciate Chuck Black's perspective and His passion for telling stories.
