Story
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

I love MC but most James Bond movies are more believable than this yarn. Purchase at your own risk.

Story
Rock and roll in the BC (Before Cooper) era was a tamer, milder world. In Who I Really Am, Cooper’s latest addition to Audible’s Words + Music series, we learn how the boa-wearing (not the feathered kind) maestro arrived at a show and sound - let’s call it AC for After Cooper - that has entertained millions of kids while terrifying parents in equal measure. Cooper drew inspiration from Saturday matinee horror movies, applied a "no such thing as too much" attitude, and hitched it to a kick-ass rock and roll band.

Story
When Joseph of Arimathea took Yeshua's corpse off the cross and placed it in his own tomb, he risked everything he'd worked years for. But now, Yeshua's body is gone, and Joseph is running for his life. Sister has never known anything but the lower city slums. She's a creature of the night, so base and inconsequential she's never even warranted a name.

Disappointed

The first book in the series, the List, was one of the best audio books I've ever listened to. The quality of the writing and the quality of the voice acting were superb. In my opinion, this book fell way short on both counts. The person who read the book has a pleasant enough voice, but he is not a voice actor. So all the voices sounded exactly the same. I thought the writing was mediocre. You may think differently?

We were created by an infinitely creative God to reflect his love and character to the world. One way we do that is by continuing his creative work. In this energizing book, serial entrepreneur and best-selling author Jordan Raynor helps artists, entrepreneurs, writers, and other creatives re-imagine our work as service to God and others, addressing such penetrating questions as: Is my work as a creative really as God-honoring as that of a pastor or missionary? Will what I make today matter in eternity?

Transformative book

An essential book Christian creatives should read and read again. My only complaint is that the narrator for the Audible version does not do the book justice. If the author could do his own narration in a re-published version, I think the book would be twice as impactful.

Time to retire Mitch and create some new, even flawed protagonists. Mitch is becoming James Bond of the Pierce Bronson era. Too bullet proof, always right, unrelatable, dare I say... boring?

Story
The ancient prophets said he would come. And for centuries the people watched, waited and hoped. He was to be the redeemer of Israel. The all-powerful King of Kings who would finally and decisively deliver the nation from the iron fist of Rome. Joseph of Arimathea is a wealthy man, but wealth can't buy peace. Nor the affection of the wife he loves. Nicodemus is a leader of Israel who will stop at nothing to find truth. Sadducee and Pharisee - two men, worlds apart, thrown together at the most critical moment in the history of the world.
