It is a romance story but not typical. It was an interesting “time travel” story with twists along the way.

Different approach to demonstrate the effects of wwll on people within hitlers domain. And shows the effects of keeping secrets to protect the ones we love, including how we hurt ourselves unnecessarily by not talking things through with each other.

I almost quit listening to this book before I made it to the halfway point. The voices grated on me and the characters were not the list but appealing. But I’m glad I finished it. The narrator either got better or I got used to her voiced. And the story had an upturn and ended up becoming a good read.
