This book has really great advice for women who want to work on presence in a room. The author also has an interesting career that she talks about, so that was refreshing. Her ideas and insights into life are not new concepts, but more reinforcement of why it matters and how you are perceived and how to shift perception when needed. Great book, would listen again!

These are short stories recalled by Mr. Pendel during his 36 years in the White House. Definitely stories that no one else could tell. He had such a unique perspective of so many presidents during his time served. Very interesting.

The stories were interesting - definitely only a perspective that a White House Usher would have, which I find so fascinating. I appreciate the stories and pranks. The one thing that I felt was lacking was more details after the phrases "What a sight to see!". I was left wanting more....like tell me what it looked like! Help me feel like I'm in your shoes and experiencing it from your eyes. Everything was matter of fact, which was fine, I would have just felt a deeper connection had those details been there. Overall great book and Chris should not have been terminated as White House Usher. You can tell he has a great heart.

I am not a political person at all. I just enjoy hearing the history of our country, and specifically the history of our First Ladies. This book was touching and so well written. Very classy.

I loved this book. Read it right after Mrs. Kennedy and Me. The memories of Clint Hill are touching and very personal to him. I'm so thankful that him and Lisa joined forces to make this book.

This is likely the best book I have ever read/listened to. I re-listened to chapters and had my husband listen to chapters. This book is touching and deeply moving.
