The Book of Mormon is not the “ Mormon Bible”. This leads to inaccurate assumptions. A little more research would have helped.

Much deeper than most novels. Kind of a Romeo and Juliet on the Rez.

The novelist needs to do a little more research on his firearms.
The .06 or .270 is a much better rifle for long distance shooting than the .308.

King’s paranoia of anything conservative has pushed him into writing in a genre in which he has no knowledge.
His knowledge of firearms is abysmal.
I have been a fan of Stephen King for years, but I had a hard time making any sense of this at all.
If this manuscript had been submitted by anyone else, I seriously doubt it would ever have been published.

The narrator also sounds like Roscoe About Coltrane when he is voicing the protagonist. It makes it a little hard to take him serious. I am a big L’Amour fan. I love his books but I ca hardly listen to this guy.
